2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Fortune (cookie) earrings! on: December 31, 2005 01:06:40 AM
i've done a similar thing!  for about a year, i collected fortuenes, then strung them to make a belt.  it is actually now sewn onto what was once a boring purse strap.  the earrings are great!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Jenga-like bracelet on: December 31, 2005 12:57:08 AM
that's such a super idea!  buttons would be really cool.  you could even make earrings, or any jewelry for that matter.  you could stack them like popsicle sticks and make a little jewelry (or whatever) box.

5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / am i completely alone in not using patterns? on: December 29, 2005 11:15:08 PM
i hate using patterns!  i always sew by eye, and hate following a pattern (which usually doesn't fit how i expect anyways).  is that totally weird?  if so, any pattern-using tips?
post your favorite ways to sew...

i definitely don't have the pattern on me at the moment, but i remember that it was that category of classical costumes.  i believe it was mccalls, but i could be wrong.  hope that helps, and i'll try and find it soon.

just got this one today! my first!

i designed it myself.  it's actually a very dark green, because i think green is a really symbolic color.  the petals spell unique...see if you can find it...
oh yeah, and that random line in the middle of one of the petals (the "n") is not supposed to be there.  he made a mistake.
