41  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Kids top to awesome strappy top for me! on: January 31, 2011 12:10:56 PM
I got this top >>>http://direct.asda.com/george/kid-s-clothing/older-boys/tops-and-t-shirts/punk-skull-print-dual-sleeve-top/GEM53222,default,pd.html
from a trip to ASDA. I got the biggest size 13-14 years for 3! But that still isn't going to fit a big girl like me so I got busy.
I cut off the sleeves (am going to make armwarmers with these when I gete chance) then cut the front panels to size and added some velvet panels in the sides, 2 straps from velvet and a band round the bottom (velvet again).
What do you think?
Me wearing it, excuse the mucky mirror!

Constructive critisism welcome! Cool
42  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Given old bag new life! on: January 22, 2011 09:20:35 AM
This bag was falling apart, the strap had broken off and some of the pleather was missing. I fix it up by sewing on a patch, a tie, a pirate voodoo doll and some scrap material.
What do you think?

43  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A couple of t shirts and a tie skirt! on: January 22, 2011 09:10:33 AM
I have altered a couple of t-shirts to fit correctly, one into a strapy top, one into an off the shoulder top.

I have also made a tie skirt as it is something I've always fancied having a go at that ev eryone else seems to have made.

Any constructive critisism is welcome as I am new to sewing.  Smiley

BTW Smudges are not on clothes, just mucky mirrors, lol.
