52  Dorothy shoes! in Shoes: Completed Projects by Baloo on: March 08, 2011 01:52:29 PM
I have reconned a pair of second hand pair of shoes into a pair of glittery dorothy shoes and lets face it, what girl doesn't want glittery shoes? Grin
The were orginally cream with a wooden heel, sorry I forgot to take a before picture.
I basically just gave them a base coat of red paint then applied 2 coats of glitter and then sealed with outsdoor mod podge.
Here are the pictures, enjoy!

Contructive criticism is welcome. Cool

53  Chocolate cinnemon buns in Dessert by Baloo on: February 28, 2011 05:30:10 PM
These buns were totally experimental. I was making chocolate buns and decided to put some cinnemon in, I reccomend it is gorg! I as also tying out a new frosting recipe, it tastes like marshmellow (doesn't contain any) and keeps a gooey texture. It is fab!

54  Painted wedges in Shoes: Completed Projects by Baloo on: February 22, 2011 02:54:14 PM
I got a pair of wedges in the January sale for 5. Love the style but the colour was horrible. So I painted them with fabric paints; purple on the top part and black on the wedge. I the used outdoor mod podge to seal it. I then stuck on a bow on the front that were from some cheap hair slides.
Here are the pics:

After

Excuse the flash on the pic.

55  Kids top to awesome strappy top for me! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Baloo on: January 31, 2011 12:10:56 PM
I got this top >>>http://direct.asda.com/george/kid-s-clothing/older-boys/tops-and-t-shirts/punk-skull-print-dual-sleeve-top/GEM53222,default,pd.html
from a trip to ASDA. I got the biggest size 13-14 years for 3! But that still isn't going to fit a big girl like me so I got busy.
I cut off the sleeves (am going to make armwarmers with these when I gete chance) then cut the front panels to size and added some velvet panels in the sides, 2 straps from velvet and a band round the bottom (velvet again).
What do you think?
Me wearing it, excuse the mucky mirror!

Constructive critisism welcome! Cool

56  Given old bag new life! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Baloo on: January 22, 2011 09:20:35 AM
This bag was falling apart, the strap had broken off and some of the pleather was missing. I fix it up by sewing on a patch, a tie, a pirate voodoo doll and some scrap material.
What do you think?

57  A couple of t shirts and a tie skirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Baloo on: January 22, 2011 09:10:33 AM
I have altered a couple of t-shirts to fit correctly, one into a strapy top, one into an off the shoulder top.

I have also made a tie skirt as it is something I've always fancied having a go at that ev eryone else seems to have made.

Any constructive critisism is welcome as I am new to sewing.  Smiley

BTW Smudges are not on clothes, just mucky mirrors, lol.
