1  Re: O (edible) Christmas tree, for my guinea pigs :) in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by VeronicaMars on: December 27, 2010 06:00:28 PM
Thanks everyone   Grin

Here are some pictures of them enjoying it, I took their houses out because it was easier to take pictures, and also they were pretty excited and running around and such Smiley

And they didn't get it all in one sitting, I didn't want them to get sick.

2  O (edible) Christmas tree, for my guinea pigs :) in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by VeronicaMars on: December 25, 2010 11:09:36 AM
Hello,

I love my guinea pigs (Kassie, Sydney and Shelby) very much, so this year I decided to make them an edible present. In the spirit of the season I decided to make a christmas tree. In the bowl is a mix of apples, carrots and bananas,(to keep the tree  standing upright) The tree is an edible guinea branch and then I put lettuce in various sizes to create the tree shape, then I layed some parsley and cilantro on it. The heart is an apple, I used a cookie cutter. They really enjoyed it, and I hope you do too Smiley

3  Guinea Pigs Halloween Costumes- Image Heavy in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by VeronicaMars on: September 10, 2010 03:04:29 AM
Thanks to everyone who liked Shelby's  bee costume http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=358635.0

These are her sisters - Kassie ( dressed as an Angel) and Sydney ( Dressed as Dracula) Sydney doesn't like things on her neck, so I just left the collar thing off,  in second pic it's just tucked under her neck, because comfort is the most important thing for my guinea girls Smiley And I also made Shelby a Princess dress, It's a sleeve off a lacey shirt, she crawled into it like a tunnel. Sydney's is made of shirts, and for Kassie's I just made the white dress out of a t-shirt, and the wings are from the dollar store Tongue Hope you like it  Grin

She's a bee Smiley The funny part is her name is Shelby... So she's a ShelBEE Hope you like it

I didnt sew it.. cuz I can't sew, I cut up an old yellow shirt, but black stripes on it, and let her crawl into it like a tunnel, she likes tunnels Smiley  Then I used the handle of a  restaurant take-out paper bag (for the anntennas)  and glued a pom pom on each antenna
