11  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / We're at the DEVIL'S CARNIVAL!! on: May 15, 2012 09:08:16 AM
Recently Terrance Zduinch and Darren Lynn Bousman came out with an experimental movie/TV series called The Devil's Carnival, exactly what it sounds like, Devil runs a carnival. He has a whole bunch of his minions in his carnival as well as three sinners Smiley I plan on making all the carnies in the carnival but for now I made Wick, The Painted Doll, Woe Maiden, and the Twin. Unfortunately I didnt get a picture of the Twin before he found his new home with Mr. Bousman.....but their was a pic taken with it so when they get posted I will post them here Smiley

First up the Woe Maiden! She was my favorite and I had planned on keeping her but I forgot one Twin in my car so I hope she is living comfy with Terrance now Smiley

Secondly is Wick! I loved making her hoop skirt and her hair, I think she came out really cute too! Alex Vega who plays Wick loved it too! She said it was her first doll ever! She grew up with GI Joes

And Thirdly! This is the Painted Doll, played by the talented Emilie Autumn Who absolutely loved the doll when I gave it to her Smiley

It was a fantastic show and I hope you enjoy the dolls! C&C always appreciated Smiley

13  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair! on: May 04, 2012 10:56:57 AM
My Nieces Birthday is tomorrow and I went with a Disney theme for all her presents, Her favorite princess being Rapunzel I just had to make a dress for her inspired by the one Rapunzel wears in Tangled!

The straps were the hardest to do, I had to sew ribbon down them and my sewing machine didnt want to!

Let me know what you think! C&C always appreciated!
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Mickey Hoodie on: May 04, 2012 09:04:59 AM
I hope this is the right board to post in....A couple days ago I was at a thrift shop and spotted this bright colored striped hoodie that just screamed to me that it needed a mickey mouse head on it... this is the result.

Here is the front

and the back Smiley

Hope you like it!
15  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Bethany! Thrill seeker and Circus Extraordinaire! on: March 23, 2012 09:30:02 AM
This is Bethany, my first OFFICIAL poppet. I made her for my partner in the Creep Cute swap. She was a tight rope walker at the circus and had many adventures there but tired of the life and wanted to try something new. I persuaded her to go with my swap partner Monique, promising her new grand adventures.

as you can see she hasn't quiet given up the circus life style, she still loves the striped stockings and ribbon-ed hair

she also cant fathom giving up her spider accessories

please let me know what you think! C&C always welcome Smiley
16  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My Little Mummy on: March 19, 2012 08:21:59 PM
This is a bit late seeing as I made her in October but I still wanted to share her! (I hope this is the right board!)

She is proudly guarding my books along side my Anubis Smiley
17  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Tentacled Wine Stoppers on: March 19, 2012 08:14:51 PM

I recently got hooked on abc's once upon a time since I am hopelessly obsessed with fairy tales. Is there anyone else who would be interested in doing a swap for this tv show?

At the opera tonight!  Repo! Weve all seen it; weve all joined the army, Now lets show it off!

This is going to be a open point swap and I have given a little over a month to craft for it, I want this swap to be a fun one so if you dont think you can manage an 8 point please dont sign up. This is my first swap that i'm organizing so please NO FLAKERS!

Small Item = 1 point
Med Item = 2 Points
Large Item = 3 Points

For new swappers there might be a bit of a confusion as to what is a large, medium, and small item, so here's a handy guide:

Small = By time, 2 or less hours of crafting. By $$$, $10 or less. By size, Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks

Medium = By time, 2 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $10-$30. By size, one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf

Large = By time, 3 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $30 or more. By size, A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse

This is not totally set in stone, but is a rough estimate of sizes described by time it takes to make package, by physical size and by cost.If you and your partner want to discuss different requirements, let that be between the two of you. We just dont want disappointment if you send an awesome package and get the minimum from your partner (even though, obviously, everything sent is going to be amazing. Grin)

Rules:

All participants must check in at least once a week, by pm or by posting in this thread.

If your partner is within the US, you MUST get a DC and pm it to the organizer and your partner.

Important note: Feedback will ONLY be given after you send and receive. Pictures would be nice but if you dont have a camera, please make arrangements with your partner so they can take pictures before they send Smiley
