I came up with two new colorways this week. What do you all think?





The first is called "Martha" after my favorite customer at the yarn store I work at...the second is called "elizajam" which is my secret identity/alter ego superstar DJ name.

These are the RPM socks from knitty. I sized up the pattern to 72 stitches to fit my boyfriend.

The pattern is Wicked from Zephyr Style knit in Cascade 220

It's mostly stockinette, so knitting it was kind of boring...but I do most of my knitting in class lectures lately so this was actually really fantastic. Mindless, but still entertaining. I knit most of it in the dark during videos.

I used Claudia Handpaints in Turquoise Jeans and Wendy's free Feather and Fan pattern. I kind of omitted the last row of the pattern, so the cuffs pucker and roll a little but I kind of like it that way! They're super comfortable, too.

This is my first fully finished, "I'm not embarrassed to wear it," sweater. It's the Ariann cardigan from ChicKnits. I have all of the details on my blog.

This is a little long-winded, I'm sorry...

I'm working on the Bridie Cardigan which looks like this:



I'm working on the Left front which is the "smaller" side (?). So I'm assuming that the left side of the cardigan has to conform to the extend flap of the right side.

The pattern says to place a marker 3 stitches in on the WS and increase every 10 rows until I have 7 stitches to the left of the marker. When my work is 10.5 inches I am supposed to shape for the neck at the same time as I am doing the increases. So far, I am up to 5 stitches to the left of the marker and am ready to start the neck shaping.

The problem: the pattern reads "(RS) Pattern to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1." This means that I would be decreasing at the same spot that I am increasing and therefore will never make it up to 7 stitches.

Have I found a typo? Am I just crazy? I'd be willing to divulge some more details of the pattern to someone who might want to message me (the pattern isn't for sale anymore so I'm not sure how much is too much to post publicly).

I got my yarn, Koigu KPM in a lavendar. I started my first couple of rows, too. I'm so glad these socks are toe-up. It makes the sock knitting go so much faster!
