I haven't posted in 2 years for some reason! I made this scarf yesterday while watching Ed Wood. 


heres how I made it
it was extremely easy and quick
you will need 2 fluffy yarns and the appropriate hook for their size.
ch 96.
row one - two sc in each chain
row two - one sc, two sc in the next stitch, two sc in the following stich till end
row three- sc
row four- sl
take your second color and start the same process from the ch

Today I made some very simple Chris Ware-esqe cat head earrings

I rarely have an idea when I set out to make something. It just takes shape depending on the nature of the yarn and what is lurking in my subconscious. Perhaps this is why I love crocheting so much.  Its like dreaming! The repetitiveness of the action kind of lulls you off like that. I've been known to substitute sleep with crocheting some nights.  Not a clever thing to do though!

I also do a lot of special orders with folks that leave the "theme" kind of open-ended.  For example, I am working on a bug hat that may include walking sticks etc...I love special orders because they take me out of my comfort zone.
