oh! tree branch scarf thats a good idea!

I rarely have an idea when I set out to make something. It just takes shape depending on the nature of the yarn and what is lurking in my subconscious. Perhaps this is why I love crocheting so much.  Its like dreaming! The repetitiveness of the action kind of lulls you off like that. I've been known to substitute sleep with crocheting some nights.  Not a clever thing to do though!

I also do a lot of special orders with folks that leave the "theme" kind of open-ended.  For example, I am working on a bug hat that may include walking sticks etc...I love special orders because they take me out of my comfort zone.

4  Rat-Inspired Dear Birthday Bag in Crochet: Completed Projects by piebirdjosie on: April 07, 2005 09:26:21 PM
I made this bag for my friend, Valerie.  She inspired me to adopt my beloved rats, NIMH, Hummus, and Anise.

She does amazing stuff for her site: http://www.dearbirthday.com/ . Very much worth a click!
bag reads dear birthday
Happy Birthday Valerie!
Special thanks go to Hummus for posing.
