1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: A Modern twist on edwardian style on: August 28, 2011 01:35:42 PM
Thanks Everyone. It isn't that hard of a top to make, just takes a few hours. I can put up a tutorial if any one would like. The fabric I found at Joann's in the reduced section. I saw it and just had to buy it. I fell in love with the grungy looking stripes with the lightning bolts in between.

I like the shapes a lot but I feel the pattern of the fabric might be fighting the design a bit.  I'd like to see this design in a solid color fabric or less distracting pattern.  Smiley

I was thinking about trying a solid or even a floral. I have some nice floral fabric laying around that I was thinking about using.

Here is my newest design inspired by the victorian/edwardian periods with a modern twist. I absolutely love how this top turned out and can't wait to make another.

C&C Welcome.

Here is a new top I have been working on. I love how it turned out and can honestly say that this is one of my more professional looking pieces I have ever made. It was my first time doing keyholes and I love how it turned out + the hood really makes the top. I was going to add pockets, but I think it looks better without them.

I am so(!) in love with that dress Smiley

What's the fabric?

I am not sure of the fabric content as the label said unknown. But I am sure that it is a cotton woven.
