I just packed up my dishcloth, and it's ready to go. Now I just have to get to the post office before the aforementioned vacation with dmathanas.

I knit half a dishcloth on a conference call today.  Grin

Very interesting! I'm interested in veganizing these so I can try them myself!

I'm 24. I just moved to Los Angeles from the Boston-ish area. I'm warm now.  Smiley

I'm paid to be an editor, but I spend a large portion of my free time playing with yarn. I knit and crochet profusely.

I like all things cute and fun. Specifically, I love owls, tea (especially Earl Grey), penguins, leaves, plants, trees, giraffes, the color pink, scarves, pizza, socks, plumeria, gerbera daisies, cute or funny erasers, ketchup, vegan treats, stickers, sugar skulls, candy corn, camping, vegan baking, word searches, yarn, spicy food, buttons, notecards, earrings, and a lot more...  Grin

I also just (as in a few minutes ago) bought my first ACEO (an original avocado painting) for my kitchen. Other fun fruit and veggie ACEOs would be appreciated!

Things that are icky: hydrogenated oils, artificial colors or flavors, artificial sweeteners (including high fructose corn syrup, no matter what the FDA says), refined sugar, meat, preservatives, cigarette smoke.

Feel free to use my wists as inspiration. http://wists.com/kimberlypye
I also have Etsy favorites. http://www.etsy.com/favorite_listings_public.php?user_id=16685

Here are some specific ideas:

Large items:
~something like a Squishable (http://www.squishable.com/s/) -- a goat (!!), robin, giraffe, or spotted cow
~Nature-themed mosaic (LOVE this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=234653.0)
~Reading pillow (pillow with straps to hold the book down) styled like this:
http://www.montessoribyhand.net/patterns/readingpillow.html (but Im breezy on the fabric choice)

Medium items:
~DeliciousCrochet patterns http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5162369
~homemade, vegan, all-natural soap
~Row-counter bracelet (and instructions for using)
~Whimsical art for my kitchen
~scented soy candles (most scents are fine)

Small items:
~Solid worsted weight yarn scraps (at least 4 yards long, acrylic is best) for my yo-yo afghan
Pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/thepyefamily/sets/72157604072993386/
~Small polymer clay thingies/stitch markers/magnets (cute animals/food)
~dangly earrings (unique, but not too tacky)
~safety eyes/noses in all shapes and sizes

I'll add more as I think of them -- until somebody picks me!

Thanks in advance! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I have to agree with nofury. Deliciously classy and silly! Want one!

Excellent job. I just might show my husband (who I know will be jealous), but I'm not sure I can cast on for that right now! (And I know I"ll have to!)
27  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Rabbity Oddfellow and Sleepy Sarah (pattern links) on: December 29, 2008 09:58:40 AM
Over this past long weekend, I made two toys (plus I worked on an afghan)!

Here's Rabbity Oddfellow:

And here's Sleepy Sarah:

These were both pretty quick and easy to make. I'm excited about another long weekend this week. I wonder what will come off the hooks and needles this time...  Wink

I just downloaded the kitty pattern, too! So cute!

I don't know if I'll get to it before Christmas and our move across the country (unless I can think of someone to give it to), but it will be high on the list once we get settled!
