I used 90 colors - which is the most PC Stitch will accept.  I'll have to upload a picture of his sleeve later - in the original, you can really see all the different colors that make up the shading.  There's whites, creams, greys, lavenders, and pale greens and blues.  All together, it makes up amazing shading.

Thanks everyone for all the nice things you've said.  I have to admit, I love Cross-Stitching, which everyone else seems to find weird because I'm only 30.  But my mom taught me when I was little, and I think its a nice anxiety/stress reliever.  I bought my PCStitch a little over a year ago and absolutely love it - its amazing what you can come up with!  Now, if only I can find out what to do with my projects once they're done...

I left purposly left out the face on this one as I posted my updates in the Large Project Thread, and made everyone guess who this stitch was of - and Here's Johnny!

This was about a 3-Month Project, and is stitched on 28ct fabric (stitched over two).  The pattern is around 14.25x10.75, and was created off of an image I found online, using PCStitch.  Let me know what you think!

Hi Guys,

It was a long summer, and although I finished my Mystery Stitch back in June, I just now realized that I never posted the results.  I'm about to add it to the completed projects section, but here is a quick reminder of where I left you guys....

Now I've jumped back into my Rent Stitch, which I placed on hold back in February.  This was where I left it.  I"m hoping I'll be able to finish it by Christmas, but I'm thinking that is a lofty goal.

I am beyond fascinated by these - I may have to steal the idea as a housewarming present.  Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?

Ok, so I originally planned to finish my Secret X-Stitch before Memorial Day, but I've lost precious time due to 2 weekends of Little Leauge, chaperoning a sleep-over for 7 year olds, and helping a friend move.  I'm almost done, the face is the only part left (and to my surprise, I had already completed the eyes!).  I'm a little worried that I didn't lighten it before creating the design, but I'm hopeful the face won't turn out to dark.

Great work Phooka!  Your stitches look so tiny and neat.  What fabric count are you using?

BTW, I've unfortunately broke your first rule many many times.  I keep my bigger projects secured with quilting safety pins, and well, blood happens...

Which software did you use?

I've noticed that when I use PCStitch, I generally have to increase the brightness to really get the colors I want.

I've got my fingers crossed!  There are 90 colors, so its a lot of color changing, but the detail is amazing.  I'm already itching to move to my next project, which only has about 10 colors.

Thanks!  The shorts were a pain in my butt because they're a spandex fabric - but at least it made it easier to get a hoop around the area!  I picked the octopus because I loved the orange in the top - it seemed like a natural match.
