I recently discovered these "dirty word" necklaces made by Under Oak Studios:

But I'm not sure I'd want to pay $40 for one, because they seem so easy to make. But I've never made jewelry, so I need some expert opinions. Do you guys think they'd be easy to make? It seems to me like it's just, bend some wire into the word, attach to a chain. Does that seem right? Also, could I get the supplies (wire, chains, and such) at a craft store like JoAnn?

Any help and opinions appreciated!

I'm really determined to make this hat, 'cause I love cables and don't know how to knit anymore. But I'm already confused on round 3...
3. *fpdc in next 2 fpdcs, dc in space between the 2nd fpdc and the next* around: 42(48) stitches

It's supposed to be an increase round, but the way I'm doing it I'm getting no increases. I guess I'm confused by the dc part. Any help is appreciated! I neeeeed this hat!

Since I have a very limited amount of yarn, I just make what I can with what I have and everything else has to wait until my dad decides to be awesome and take me to get more yarn

I have two WIPs right now, but that's just because one of them has been a pain so I'm putting it off. I don't really like having more than one unless I get bored with one or get inspired to do something else.

Ooh I love it. I've felt how awesome bamboo yarn is, but it all seems like a small amount for more than I'm willing to pay (at least right now ). What kind did you use?

Yeah, that makes sense, and I bet you're right, 'cause that's how the ears on a plushie I'm making are. I never would have thought of that! Mine still won't look like the ones in the picture for some reason, but at least they look like cat ears! Thanks so much
