41  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / juggle what a fun word!!! on: December 05, 2010 12:40:45 PM
I have a nephew, and that nephew is at a hard age to craft for.

I thought of juggling balls. They turned out pretty cute (almost like pokemon balls)(which he is not allowed to watch).

Anyway,
hope you all like them!

I have never done any paper crafting before and was very excited to try with this challenge.

I knew I had to incorporate the tardis being that in my head the box shape was screaming for it.

Hopefully the sonic screwdriver I inserted where Santa's Coke-a-Cola bottle was comes across clearly.

Also I got a little crazy w/ a silver paint pen for some garland and frost on the windows.

Happy Holidays and thanks for looking!
43  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Oh Gnome you didn't! on: November 02, 2010 08:43:43 PM
Here is my little G-nome!

I knitted his hat from the Harry Potter Magical Knits book, subbing red of course!
His Gnome Coat was a garage sale find for 50 cents. A terrycloth hooded swimming jacket which had The Little Mermaid on the front. I decided to print some images onto fabric and sew them on to cover the offending Ariel.

Hope you like him, I sure do.
Thanks for checking him out!
44  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Blacklite R2-D2 Hat on: October 11, 2010 08:46:16 PM
Hello fellow crafty geeks!
After seeing the R2-D2 Hat on www.ravelry.com by Mary, I knew I had to make quite a few. Using all sorts of stash I ran through most of my white and blue.
But a young girl named Corrigan was having a birthday.

I decided to make a black light version of R2

I knitted from a basic child hat and then used the chart from Mary's pattern and rocked some duplicate stitch.

Sorry about the lighting, but the colors I used are as follows
Dark Purple
Lime Green
Neon Orange.

That would be my daughter hamming it up for the camera.

Thanks for checking it out!

Enjoy!
45  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / bunny slippers on: October 11, 2010 08:31:31 PM
Hello!
This is the first project I get to post-Yipee!
These are the family of bunny slippers I crocheted for husband's cousin and family for Christmas. I am really trying to get rid of some yarn stash this year.
I hope you like them.

I got the basic bootie pattern from www.lionbrand.com and then added the ears from Debbie Stoller's Happy Hooker bunny slippers. Super fun to do.
The yellow one's are my favorite, I think.

46  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Newish member from Minnesota, HI! on: September 26, 2010 07:53:02 PM
Wow, I have loved Craftster for a very long time. It's the first place I go to when I need inspiration.
I am addicted to knitting.
I love sewing, and hand embroidery.
Otherwise, I have a severe fondness to most crafty arts.
My favorite podcast is The Nerdist Podcast.
Way into all things geeky.

Thank you all for keeping imaginative thinking alive!
