1  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: A few happy hooker projects on: September 19, 2010 07:01:40 PM
I love the bat curtain!! What is filet crochet anyway? I've tried looking into it, but still don't understand it.

Love the shirt. I made a shawl that looks similar (it's even the same color...lol) for my daughter, it came out really great. I'll have to get pics and post them on here. Believe it or not, I still haven't even taken pics of a lot of my projects! LOL

Hi everyone,

Could someone please tell me what The Happy Hooker is? I thought maybe it was a website...yeah...you can just imagine what came up when I checked...NOT crocheting! Is it a book of patterns or something?

Thanks!

Hi!

Are you looking for a blanket pattern? If so, here's what I did for my care bear blanket pattern: find an image you want for the blanket; set a grid up in MS Excel (I did 200x150) then overlay the picture onto the grid. You'll have to edit the image so that it's a little transparent so you can see the squares from the grid. Then, crochet from that image. You can make it a textured blanket by using FPDC or make it identical on both sides by using sc throughout the entire blanket.
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Advice on Crocheting a Tunic on: August 28, 2010 04:19:47 PM
Hi everyone!

My daughter wants me to crochet her a tunic...here's the one she wants: http://www.knitting-warehouse.com/free_knitting_patterns/Carons/SimplySoft/RenaissanceTunicCrochet.pdf

It's a free pattern. My concern is that so far, all I have crocheted are blankets, doilies, ponchos and hats...how hard is it to crochet an actual shirt? I don't want to tell her I won't do it, but I'm worried that I don't have the skill.

TIA,
