Not sure if you're looking for tablecloth ideas here, but I thought I'd include this in case you were.
For my wedding I went to a wallpaper outlet and dug through the old, discontinued rolls of paper and bought a ton of bright, colorful (mostly 60's and 70's era) prints. You can cover the tables with the paper, staple or tape them to the bottom surface, and then accessorize the table to match or contrast with each wallpaper print.
Everyone loved the idea. It was way cheaper than buying tablecloths at a party supply warehouse, most of the paper was at least partly vinyl, therefore, spill-proof, and the leftover paper is still being used as wrapping paper to this day.
