The story behind this...I am so stoked over the new digital camera I got last weekend, and I am a crazy dog lady
...While rubbing my teacup chis belly my other dog Mocha tried to jump on my bed and well...my sweet pup turned into a snarling chupacabra. I am thinking of printing this one but I don't have a clue what to do with it, any ideas?

Details of swap:

Dotee Dolls are the mini art dolls made by doll artist Dot Christian.  She's been kind enough to offer a Dotee Doll tutorial on her blog here: http://dotslifeandart.blogspot.com/2007/02/art-doll-tutorial.html which is a really great jumping off point for making all kinds of mini art dolls.  I was really excited about making these little dolls, but didn't have anything to do with them.  I would much rather swap my dolls for dolls that other people have made, and maybe you feel the same way.  If so, this swap is for you!

This will be a round-robin style swap.  Depending on the number of signups, we'll break into groups of 6 or so.  You'll craft a doll for each member of your group, and your fellow group members will do the same.  Everyone will end up making and receiving about 5 dolls (possibly 4 or 6 depending on group size) so that we all end the swap with a lovely collection of one another's work.  Because the dolls are so small and generally light, shipping should be quite affordable, even though you'll be sending several packages.

There are very few rules about these dolls, but:

-Dolls should be no more than 5" in height
-Dolls should have a hanging loop for display
-Dolls should be individual and express your own style and personality

Hey all 

Here is my idea. Describe yourself in three words.
ex: fantastical, witty, square
     sushi, pink, cupcake
etc...The idea behind it is to craft something for your partner based on three words that describe you or an aspect of your life. (and no wist peeping.)  . I think it would be fun to see peoples different perspectives based on 3 random words. I was thinking of just making it a 1-3 small item swap. Let me know what you all think or any criticism that would make it better?

I'm really not sure if this goes here or not, it is an oddball and it really doesn't fit anywhere else. Feel free to move it if I am terribly off. 

I made this about 5 months ago my dog Nubby (he's a mini pincher) when I had a Mexican themed party  this loverly set includes a vest and a sombrero
The materials I used
-6 pieces of brown felt
-scraps of red and yellow felt
-ribbon bits for the vest( to tie around his belly and hold it on) and brim of the hat
-toggle for his hat to adjust it to his head
He didn't seem to mind it and actually got excited when he saw me take it out 

I only got one good picture of him in it.



Sadly I had to get my baby (Nubby) put down about two weeks ago and I am still mourning him so I can bring myself to even post pictures of the outfit all by its self it brings me to tears even looking at it.Talk about serious meltdown I had no idea how much that little dog meant to me until I literally watched him go away forever...I haven't cried like that since my grandparents passed away. Then to make it worse the vet asked me if I wanted a box to take him home in to bury him. I seriously could not talk because I was crying so hard, and that just made it to where I could barley breathe. Then when I am going to leave they say "We didn't charge you" What was I supposed to say "Thank you for euthinizing my dog at such a great price!" ? In all seriousness I am very well mannered and polite  wouldn't saying "thank you" in that situation be a bit morbid?  Anyway enough of my pitty-party!  I got the idea from a cheapo magazine that I found at my Dad's house when I was cleaning and instead of paying 20 dollars for one I ventured to do it myself, the most difficult part was sewing on yarn around the edges and then cutting it.
Again sorry for the rant!

I just recently taught myself to knit with a kids book of all things, I didn't have a pattern for this, I was originally just making a square of blah. I looove how knitting is stretchy and fluffy, I only know the knit stitch since I can't figure out how to do a pearl  pfft... Well without further ado here is my doggie sweater dress goodness.

A side view modeled by my lovely tea cup chihuahua Peanut- I used size 10 1/2 needles and a chunky yarn in grey the edging is simply crocheted baby pink ruffles in sport weight all around. Basically it is a square made up of 25 stitches and 25 rows. (Excuse the ignorance.)

So this might be super easy to answer, but I am making 7 inch squares, 4 different designs. I want a kind of checkerboard and I know 4 across will not be sufficient for width, that would leave it at 24 inches which is 2 ft across. I don't really want to throw another color in the mix... what I have now is 3 solids and 1 fancy foloral type square, I'm thinking I might have to through in another color even though I am not keen on the idea...any suggestions would be a big help as far as mapping this sucker out. (basically how many I need across and down to make it a good sized lap throw.)
