41  Re: The Long Awaited Poppet-Along in Craftalongs by RazorBladeSmile on: April 11, 2008 06:05:45 AM
Sooo I am almost finished with my first poppet, though I had to use muslin ( I know bad choice, but Raggedy Ann is still kickin') due to a skin tone velor shortage in Hobby Lobby, and I didn't want her to be funky color (no offence I am envious of all of your guys poppets!) Here are the pics so far

I didn't make her nose quite as prominent as others, and her head is more round for some reason... and I got iron on eyes, however, I plugged my iron in and my dads kitty ( I am cat sitting) knocked it on the plastic wrapper the eyes came out of...Needless to say the fire dept. came out because of my alarm system and I ruined my iron... So I dug through my safety eye stash.

Sorry for the bad quality my digital cam is still acting up Sad . Her hands came out kinda rounded and I finally figured out the toe dealy. So I am going to end up just detailing her hand via the doll needle. I used doll joints in place of the other option... Also, I just threw the dress together... It literally took me 10 minutes to do, just so she wouldn't be nekkid. Anyway thanks Ghilie for the wonderful pattern I am very much pleased and in love with my poppet, I never thought I'd be able to make a doll, but I did. Smiley I don't know if you can see it or not but I modge podged gemstones to my sewing machine, so its blingy.  Cheesy Comments very much appreciated.
