41  Dragon wing and Tails!!!! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by azreno on: October 03, 2010 05:52:14 AM
The dragon wing pendant was an experiment/prototype really, but I was amazed at how well it came out, I think it rocks. The dragon tail pendant came out OK, in my head I thought they would be cooler though lol

I love this silver wing pendant, almost as cool as the steampunk wings I made, but still very cool

LOVE this! I only recently realized I have HUGE medieval leanings, and I think this amulet/pendant is perfect Smiley

So much of what i do is all about the texture.....you just gotta be brave a go with it because texture rocks!

45  Reducing my dependence on mica powders! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by azreno on: September 12, 2010 06:04:51 AM
On the dragon's eye....Not a single bit of mica powders or metallic wax for that matter, all clay. What do you think?

New dragonflies I made last week, they demand mica powders lol

Am planning on working on new things today so these comments are so welcome, you all rock  Grin Always the dragon eye and dragonflies lol...must make those!

I don't recall if I mentioned this or not, but many years ago I designed a dragonfly woodcraft item, the steampunk dragonfly I adapted from the pattern for that. That was by far my best selling item ever! I think dragonflies are always popular.

You are all so generous, thankyou   Grin I see all the flaws though, like I'm sure we all see in our own work. Why is it you can't see that dimple or dent before you bake it? And I have so many fingerprints in my work, I think the FBI could ID from them lol One thing I learned recently is I will start using up my premo and going back to kato, it doesn't take up all those small imperfections as easy as premo does.

ElizabethsMom ...I love the doors! this was my second, I really liked the first better, that second one is pretty large. Am planning to do more smaller ones.

Here are some others that I've managed to sell...y'all will notice I'm not showing my worst work  Roll Eyes

You can see how much fun I have....cannot stick to any one style, I love almost letting it guide itself into making if that makes sense. There are days when I cannot work with the clay to save my soul! And other days where I feel like I could build a city. Wish I could figure out what brings that on!

48  I can post pics now!!!! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by azreno on: September 04, 2010 12:15:16 PM
Hi All! I'm not a heavy poster so it took a bit for me to get my 10 posts in so I could post photos  Roll Eyes I think there's a great and talented group here and I've enjoyed going around and checking out everything.

I have not been working with polymer clay nearly as long as most of you, but I do love it. I just think the sheer possibilities of it are exciting. I make mostly pendants...for now. They are a lot of fun but I'm sure what I make will change just as much as the quality (hopefully!) get's better and my imagination cuts loose.

49  Hi All! new here... - pendants in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by azreno on: August 25, 2010 08:25:08 AM
And I love polymer clay! Wanted to stop by and say 'Hi', maybe say something about myself? I live in AZ, grew up in Indiana, and have been a OCD crafter for my whole adult life (how long that is I will not be saying Wink.  My biggest passions have been scroll sawing (used to design and sell painted woodcrafts), decorative concrete (it's a very forgivable medium, really), and polymer clay. I wonder sometimes where PC has been all my life but then I think it probably came along just when I was ready for it.

I make polymer clay pendants mostly, but also paperweights, and I'm sure i'll venture into other things at some point, but right now I love making pendants. Can't post pics yet...but here are a couple of links...
