1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Poly Clay Mjollnir Necklace on: August 21, 2011 01:06:16 AM
Unfortunately I just have links for pictures since I've not posted enough yet but I wanted to show off the Mjollnir I made. I checked and I have enough posts so I should be able to post photos now  Grin

Polymer clay, silver seed beads, acrylic paint, and acrylic sealant. The piece is about 1.5" long, 1/2" wide, and 1/4" thick. The "chain" is just crochet thread chain stitched.

2  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 56 ENTRIES / My Fiance's And My DIY Gears of War Costumes on: November 01, 2010 10:36:15 PM
These are the Halloween costumes me and my fiance made this year. Worked for about 5 hours every day for about 8 days. Took forever and we stayed up WAY too late. Mostly cardboard with a bit of plastic (for the guns -- hacked apart two toy shotguns), Model Magic, and acrylic paint.

Our plans fell through the day before so we did all this work for nothing. We literally ended up walking around WalMart for 20 minutes then going home.

Uploading just a couple pictures for now to make sure I don't miss the deadline. Will upload more (including progress shots) later.

Also, it won't let me upload pictures so I'm going to have to link. Sorry.

Us in our finished costumes. I have no idea what's up with my face.

Blurry costumes.

Little bit of a progress shot. Before I'd made the belts and my sandal covers (can't wear closed-toed shoes -- horrifying toe injury).
