1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Painted luggage on: August 13, 2012 02:34:03 AM
How neat is this! I love the idea of painting bugs on things.

Thanks! I bookmarked that too. =)

Thank you very much for the tips! I have learned a lot. I would have never thought of using wire to stamp acrylic paint onto something. I'll have to try that and the impression method sometime. I'm going to look at those links you posted and bookmark them for further use.  Cheesy

Nice pendant  Smiley , but could see better if it weren't so dark Cry.  (Try using a darker color as your backdrop since a lot of white (paper in this case) will make the camera sensor think everything in the fram needs to be darkened...a medium-brightness background would be even better.)

Oh, I didn't know that. I've always been told to use contrasting backgrounds to make things show up better. I'll remember that from now on, though. Thanks for the tip!

I was pretty sure that I responded to ten things already but I guess not. Thanks for that tip too. I'll go back and make sure that I've responded to ten things and, if so, fix this.

Also, thanks for the complement. I made it when I was half asleep so I see issues with it (like there's a visible seam on the back/side of the handle) but I'm happy with it overall.
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Tentacle Charm -- Tutorial on: August 21, 2011 10:15:32 PM
Very neat! I always wondered how people did the suckers for tentacles.

This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!

Unfortunately I just have links for pictures since I've not posted enough yet but I wanted to show off the Mjollnir I made. I checked and I have enough posts so I should be able to post photos now  Grin

Polymer clay, silver seed beads, acrylic paint, and acrylic sealant. The piece is about 1.5" long, 1/2" wide, and 1/4" thick. The "chain" is just crochet thread chain stitched.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Summer Breeze Maxi Dress with Tutorial on: July 19, 2011 10:38:55 AM
This is amazing! I was just stressing out about how I want to make a dress out of a sheet (already have the sheet) for a family reunion I'm going to next month but I wasn't sure how to do the empire waist. And here's your post! But for the ruffle at the bottom (which I kinda love) and the thick sleeves, it's exactly what I've been envisioning this whole time! Thank you so much for posting it!
10  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Fun with a support spindle! on: January 22, 2011 08:44:28 PM
I know this is an older post but I wanted to thank you for my latest spinning obsession, also for cluing me into a type of spindle my significant other is actually interested in!
