So my very first picture post, slightly scary. I figure these should go here because i have no idea where else they would go!

These are made for my friends birthday/housewarming present, they are her three favorite colours.

They are basically some plain frames, painted, then little minature "arts" inside, with some quotes relating to the colour. The pink one is funny coz the little tag is a bit 3D.

 Fingers crossed that the images worked huh!

i love split stitch!

you can do anything with it.  that said it's always fun to branch out and try other stitches. 

thanks lady, split stitch it is! i just needed to know if i could do writing with that, but i've tried and i can so yay.

hello lovely people.
 i can tell there are many many posts with similar questions, but i cant seem to find any about embroidering letters. really all i want to do is be able to embroider words onto bags and things, can i do this with the basic spilt stitch?
if i was to branch out to embroidering images, how do you know what stitchs to use? can you embroider a whole image with just a spilt stitch? i don't really want to buy a ready made starter kit or anything like that, i just teach myself usually, i'm just a bit confused as to what stitchs are best for what bits, particulaly text Shocked)
