What a surprise it must have been when you sliced him!

The colors remind me of rainbow sherbet- orange/raspberry/white (ok, not a flavor, but what is the white flavor supposed to be?!)

Did you use raspberry pop?

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: ~ Mushroom House ~ on: August 24, 2010 05:23:29 AM
that is too cute! I love all the embroidery! My kids and I made some little felt pin cushion stuffies last year. They were pretty simplistic. I can't wait to share your pictures with them to show them how much detail can add to the finished work! Smiley
Thanks for sharing.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Messager Bag out of Kool-Aid Jammers. on: August 23, 2010 08:23:27 PM
How fun!!
So- I have to ask some dumb questions-
Do you clean out the pouches first, and if so, how do you dry them?
Do you use a special needle on your machine?
I've been wanting to try some smaller scale "pouch projects" but would love some pointers!

you did an incredible job keeping it square and adding the zipper! I'm inspired... Smiley

That is AWESOME! I love that you reused her backpack and made something so uniquely, amazingly fun with it!!!
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: AG doll dress and pinafore on: August 23, 2010 08:01:48 PM
I'm a fan of Little House myself- what a great outfit you made!
My daughters love AG, and I have taken advantage of that to teach them how to sew. They are 9 and 11, and get so much satisfaction from making things themselves! It makes a crafty momma proud!

oh my gosh! I want those!! I saw a book at Borders that had some stuffy patterns... now you've inspired me to go back and get it so I can make some! Cute cute cute!
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: my first loaded charm bracelet on: August 23, 2010 07:06:42 PM
Nice colors! I like the red with the silver! The variety of charms is really fun, too.
I like to take jewelry pics outside in the morning. Someone told me that the "golden hours" of photography are morning and evening, when the sun is coming up or going down. I love natural light and how it plays on surfaces.

ooooooooh what a gorgeous piece of labradorite!! And, I love your setting! I'd love to get beyond my mere wire wrapping and beading skills and be able to do real metal work like that. Too many crafts- too little time!
