1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Sweat Shoppe ORNAMENT Swap Round 5 Gallery on: November 13, 2014 05:39:01 AM
Now that I'm finally done traveling I can finally post what I received.

dearjoan (Angel (Or No Angel) Cats) - So cute. I am going to have to make some of these for friends.
gigglygirl (Jingle Mouse) - I knew what this was before even opening the box. Love it!
goldfishpollywog (Flappy Holiday Penguins) - Very creative. I agree with the others that said it is fun to play with. (BTW love the packaging I need to remember that trick.)
I Sew Cute (Holiday Fun in Plastic Canvas) - So cute. I think I'm going to replace the bunny picture with a picture of my dog.
kbrison (Retro Braided Wreaths) - I love the weight and was super surprised at how big it is.
MommyTheMaid (dressed for winter snowman) - So cute. Did you cut them by hand or use something like a Cricut? I'm looking into purchasing one soon.
Thimbles71 (Pinecone Elves) - Adorable and I love the extra dog ornament. I am truly a dog lover and am currently trying to convince my husband to let me get a second one.
underthemountain (cork tree ornaments)  - Mine came broken but I fixed it. I have a ton of corks I may just have to make some of these for my girlfriends for christmas.

Dearjoan I am glad you think the bear is cute. I can't decide myself if it is a bear or koala. I actually made that one while tailgating an NFL game. Gotta take any crafts you can on the go right?

Luckily I had two 8 hour flights to and from London. And my husband encourages me to craft while we watch tv together. :-)

My goodness, they must have taken ages.  They're lovely though and well worth the effort.

Here is the final product of my ornaments. I forgot how long a cross stitch can take.

I used this pattern for the apron. And had to modify some steps for various reasons.
http://www.simplicity.com/p-1550-1950s-vintage-aprons.aspx

The top straps I modified for ease of fit and to hide my awful stitching on the corners of the bib  Tongue

I also ended up using two different colored bias tape because one of my package was defective and I could not find a replacement that would get here in time to send out.

I love how it came out though and I didn't want to part with it.  Smiley

I'm glad you love it!

kiimmmmyy made a beautiful apron for me. I LOVE IT! I collect aprons and wear them all the time. I could not have been happier.  Grin My mom even liked it and she usually just rolls her eyes at me when I tell her I got something from a craft swap. Very cool pattern. Now I need one for every holiday!!!!
