1  Re: Sweat Shoppe ORNAMENT Swap Round 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by kiimmmmyy on: November 13, 2014 05:39:01 AM
Now that I'm finally done traveling I can finally post what I received.

dearjoan (Angel (Or No Angel) Cats) - So cute. I am going to have to make some of these for friends.
gigglygirl (Jingle Mouse) - I knew what this was before even opening the box. Love it!
goldfishpollywog (Flappy Holiday Penguins) - Very creative. I agree with the others that said it is fun to play with. (BTW love the packaging I need to remember that trick.)
I Sew Cute (Holiday Fun in Plastic Canvas) - So cute. I think I'm going to replace the bunny picture with a picture of my dog.
kbrison (Retro Braided Wreaths) - I love the weight and was super surprised at how big it is.
MommyTheMaid (dressed for winter snowman) - So cute. Did you cut them by hand or use something like a Cricut? I'm looking into purchasing one soon.
Thimbles71 (Pinecone Elves) - Adorable and I love the extra dog ornament. I am truly a dog lover and am currently trying to convince my husband to let me get a second one.
underthemountain (cork tree ornaments)  - Mine came broken but I fixed it. I have a ton of corks I may just have to make some of these for my girlfriends for christmas.

So I sent beeker a couple suggestions of what I would like. One being: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MHSoHpJLu1k/UlzOrXxPCUI/AAAAAAAAMWU/VRWjUcTmbdo/s640/2013-Clever-Halloween-Centerpieces-Decorating-Ideas-2.jpg

She ended up creating me this.

And a little closer:

I love it. This is truly my favorite item I have ever received from a swap so far. I am interested in how you actually dried out the gourd. I'm just now hoping you like yours as much as I love mine.

I'm going to make a variety of Christmas Crossstiched Sachels.

Here is my inspiration. And attached below is the pin from pinterest I took it from so that the original author gets credit.

6  My First Completed Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by kiimmmmyy on: October 03, 2014 09:05:04 AM
I have attempted a couple quilts. One being a small 6 block shelf quilt from a class that I took to learn how to quilt. And even though the class did help a little bit, it helped more in tips and tricks rather than in sewing a quilt itself. This quilt is still waiting on binding.

My second was a quilt I started when my best friend was pregnant with her first child. The kid just had her 2nd birthday and the quilt is yet again still waiting to be binded. (And maybe a couple more rows of quilting. I haven't looked at it in awhile.)

However I somehow finally managed to complete one from beginning to end. A very good friend from college was having a baby girl and the colors of her bedroom matched some fabric I already had on hand.

So here it is!

*I need to learn how to take pictures of my projects.

I got my package from Luvebuggy99 on Friday. I love it!

She really outdid herself. I can't imagine how long it took to make everything.

I had to play doctor a little with my Baby Peach and one of the perler magnets.

She made me two patches.

A Zombie Ate My Neighbors canvas.

A shadow box Baby Peach on Rainbow Road.

And last but not least an overabundant amount of perler bead magnets. Which I can't wait to display when we finish our video game room. (Yup I'm that much of a nerd.)

I love everything!

I finally got home to my package awaiting for me. (It must of gotten stuck in the rain at some point because the bottom of the box was quite damp. Luckily nothing was ruined.)

She wrapped everything so nicely.

I got spoiled and got some really awesome keychains. Unfortunately though the wrapping paper stuck to some of them and I can't get it off. If anyone knows how without ruining the image please let me know. She said they are shrinky dinks. I actually didn't know you could customize them. I always brought the premade ones as a kid.

Also a pretty cool travel organizer. I travel every Monday through Thursday out of town and this will become really handy in the airport.

And last but not least I just moved into a new house where the walls are pretty bare. The silouettes are gorgeous and they match my living couches perfectly. My favorite of course is the dog. (I'm a sucker for them. I spoil my own as if it was a kid.)

Thanks so much OrangeKnickers I love it all!
