Hey all you craftistas...
I will be in the LA area December 27-31 with a friend who wants to move there. He picked me to go with him because I have been there before (I grew up in Las Vegas and vistied family and stuff) but he didn't listen to me when I told him that I haven't been there in a loooong time and that I was pretty young when I was there last... I think 13... Now that I am older I know that the area has more to offer than Disneyland and the beach... Of course I am going to take him to see the ocean, (the only "ocean" that he has seen is the yucky gulf of Mexico
), and we will probably spend a day doing the whole 'Hollywood" thing, but I am looking for some cool things to pass the time. What would YOU recommend that we do? Remember that he is looking to move there, so something to show him the real side of LA. not just the touristy side. I am not really looking for crafty things, because I am definatly the crafty one, and this trip isn't really for me(but of course if I can fit some in I will
)....Any advice would be helpful, all the California tourism people suggest is to drink wine and go to Disneyland...boo, where can I find real culture and life in the city?
Thanks in Advance!
Melissa- who is extremely excited about getting the heck out of Texas for a few days!
