1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Long Time No See: Needlefelted Necklace on: April 15, 2010 05:26:02 PM
Gee, I haven't been here in a while.  Well, I'm back, and I've brought a project.  I recently started needlefelting.  I needed something to wear to my radio formal, so I made this necklace.  What do you think?  I've been thinking about selling these on etsy.  What do you guys/gals thinks?

2  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / First Spin on Craftster on: February 09, 2009 02:39:54 PM
Alright, so I learned how to spin about a month before Christmas, and ever since, I've been working to be awesome at it.  So far, it's been alright.

So I bought 4oz. of roving off of Etsy and decided to Kool-Aid dye it.  It looked amazing

So then I spun it up.  These pictures aren't so good.  I mean, picture quality.

So tell me what you think!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / The Drunk Hobo Hat on: January 05, 2009 01:35:07 PM
Yes, there is a reason why it's called 'The Drunk Hobo' hat.  My best friend at school is the biggest bum you'd ever meet.  She's constantly bumming cigs off of people, she's a complete drunken mess, and is very self-centered.  Complete pain in my you know what.

Anyways, after she stole my favorite hat that I knitted and lost it during a drunk escapade, she stole her other best friend's hat.  That friend wanted her hat back, so I was asked to knit a hat.  Of course, the bum says to be "I'll buy the yarn, not a problem!"

I went to buy my first spindle at a local yarn shop by my school, and she came along and requested the yarn in this hat. "Oh, look, Gen, it's Syracuse colors".  "Yes, bum."  I had to pay for the yarn, of course, but it wasn't too expensive, so I'm ok.

It's made out of 75% acrylic and 25% wool.  This is great for her drunken antics.

Yes, that's me modeling it.

Here's a close-up of the cables.

Look, it's a dangelly pom-pom.  Perfect for any drunk!

4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / First time I ever crocheted right! The Mightly Lil' Mouse on: March 17, 2008 07:42:19 AM
So I crocheted years ago, but I got frustrated when I found out that I couldn't crochet right.  So I turned to knitting.  Although I still love to knit, I've always wanted to make one of those amigurumis.  So, I bought a book called Amigurumi! by Elisabeth A. Doherty and finally figured out how to crochet!

I made "The Mighty Lil' Mouse" out of the book, and it didn't turn out too bad.

Isn't he just the cutest?

I hate my camera

I'm also proud to say that I stuffed it with a plastic A.C. Moore bag.  He only took me about 3-4 hours to make, and now he lives with my roommate, who is insisting I make more.  So, that means more are to come.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Really Long Gloves on: March 17, 2008 07:20:25 AM
Ok, so I have this friend of mine who, when I was sick, requested a pair of fingerless glove like I has knitted for myself, but alittle longer (note that I don't have those gloves up here).  So, since I has nothing better to do during my spring break and down time of being sick, I knitted these bad boys up.  I made up the pattern as I went, and made them to fit my fat wrists and hands (which, in turn, worked out great, because my friend has dinky wrists and hands for being a male).

For those of you who are also on Ralvery, this is the same guy who my other friend knitted a uterus for, so you should check it out.

Me in them again, but also, with my bum of a best friend in the background thinking it's funny.

There just by themselves on my Princess Sheets

Scott's dinky little arms in them

And he's SO HAPPY!

That's all for now, folks.
6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Amigurumi! by Elisabeth A. Doherty on: March 15, 2008 12:01:31 PM
Anyone use this book?  Like it?  I just bought it the other day, and I love it.  I knew how to crochet long ago, but it turned out I was crocheting wrong anyways, so I quit that and stuck with knitting.  I was at B&N the other day and got adventureous and bought it, and I'm working on a pattern out of it.  It makes me happy.
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Unique Name Swap Round 2? on: August 16, 2006 12:37:44 PM
Anyone want to do with?  I got 2 PMs about another one, and I was wondering if anyone wanted to do it.  Also, I can't organize it since I'm actually pretty busy.  Sorry!  I'd love it if someone else could organize it.

I will give you positive feedback once you have sent AND your partner recieved.  That's the only way it's going to work.  If you sent before your partners, (and your partner recieved your package) I'm still going to give you positive feedback, because of the new swap rules (you can only do 5 swaps at a time)  I know I need feedback ASAP!
