1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Space Age Toilet Seat? Anyone? on: March 19, 2005 12:09:20 AM
I've also seen resin toilet seat molds online.

Do you know where to find these?  I was searching for some a couple years ago and couldn't find them anywhere.

Please post a pic when you can. I love the idea of it. Need to live vicariously through you because at this point I would have no use for a tea cozy.  Grin
3  UNITED STATES / Utah / Re: Craft (or just cool) stores in Utah on: February 20, 2005 02:51:44 AM
I also get a kick out of Cabin Fever in Crossroads Plaza (a.k.a. the NOT ZCMI downtown mall  Wink )

As for thrift stores, there are a few Salvation Army stores, and Thrift Town stores.  Also, if you are in the Downtown area quite a bit I would hit Grunts & Postures 779 E 300 South. The prices used to be kind of all over the map. Sometimes you could find cool stuff for a great deal, but sometimes things were a little pricey. I haven't been there in quite a while, though.  There also is a place called Decades on State St. between 600 and 700 So. that has some really cool clothes.  I don't know what kind of crafting you do, but there might be a really good chance to find some things to reconstruct in either of those places.

Good luck!
4  UNITED STATES / Utah / Re: yarn stores in SLC or Snowbird? on: February 20, 2005 02:41:49 AM
Yeah, I'm thinking your options at Snowbird will be pretty limited.  But there is a yarn store right near where you're staying.

Black Sheep Wool Company
430 E South Temple
SALT LAKE CITY,  UT 84111 - 1337
(801) 487-9378

That is definately in walking distance. Salt Lake can be a little disorienting if you've never been there before, so I'd just ask the concierge how to get to that address and they can point you in the right direction. I'd say you're staying about 4/5 blocks from that address. I have yet to actually go to Black Sheep, but I hear it's a really nice store.

As for other stores?  You could search dexonline.com, but without a car, I'm not sure if you could get to the other yarn stores I know in less than an hour.
Hope that helps!

Did you ever figure out your "Tea, Cake, or Death" chart? I would love to see the final result of that. I LOOOOVE Eddie Izzard!
