The first word to pop into my head when I hear basil is Pesto, which I love to use as a toasted sandwich spread.
yep! Pesto is awesome. I like to eat it straight on pasta or gnocchi with veggies.
It also works great as a sandwich spread
I do about 3 1/2-4 cups basil, 5 or 6 cloves or garlic and olive oil and pine nuts, and 1/4 cup nutritional yeast (if you have some, it's optional)
