I love the way this fits. I'm a busty girl but I love the flat chested look (weird rite?). This dress makes my boobies look way smaller. I feel like a flapper with the small bust, short length and loose fit.
For my birthday my boyfriend took me to a very nice/expensive fabric store and let me pick out whatever I want so I bought this:
and made this:
Dakota wanted to be in the picture too. I love this fabric so much because there is more than one way to look at it. Best birthday present ever! It's the same pattern as the yella' umbrella dress only with a full skirt instead of a straight one.
I made my first stuffed animal! He still needs eyes, I'm going to sew some buttons on. Other than that he is finished and I will be making another to give to my neices and some to give as chirstmas presents and others to sell.
So I'm sucker for anything vintage and usually make it to the fabric store long before I am able to go downtown where all the best stores are located. So I used the basic pattern of an older skirt and added a few touches of my own.
And it was all made on my 60 year old baby
The hemming didn't turn out as well as I would have liked, I oiled the machine so it began sewing much looser and made it harder to sew straight. Oh well! Let me know what you think.
I was going for argyle but my mom says that it is plaid. But I don't care cuz I love them!
I am so making more. I never knew how comfy these shoes are. I used a textile medium to keep the paint one I even used a sealer to keep them nice. However the sealer has caused them to become rather shinny! oh well...
Thanks for the ideas! Jaime
I...I dont know what to say. I love you, I think that's it? Argyle is my favourite thing EVER. I need to make some to match my sweater vests.
