I personally don't mind eating off them, but want to invite some friends round, and serve them a plate full of food and see how they react when they see the bugs!

The plates and dishwasher and microwave proof, and I have been eating off them, but to be honest I've not checked if Marabu advise that you don't put food on the paint - it would be great if anyone knew if Marabu say their paint is safe to eat off???

This is the first project that I've posted, so I hope that you like it!

I was inspired by Avril222 and her fab plates http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=316515.0, and have made my very own set of bug plates:

I used Marabu paints - I found the pens too think and gloopy, so used the paint pots and a brush instead.

I really love these!  I've tried with ceramic pens, and just couldn't use them - they went really blothcy and leaky, or not enough ink came out.  Maybe I just bought a bad pen - has anyone else had problems?!
