Anyony who still wants large cans for doing any projects can beg a few from most little restaurants.  They get a lot of their stuff in large cans.  They would be happy to let you have them.

I've seen torched cans all over the place at craft shows with rows of skinny slats cut with a torch to make candelaria like coverings.  Some people get $25 for a large can.   Shocked
