Thats what is so frustrating! I saw the site and got all excited about doing one of the kits, but have tried placing orders and contacting Whitney several times over the past several months, but have heard nothing back. I feel like Im being teased!

Does anyone know if there is a place in the city that sells latch hook supplies? Im looking for a latch hook tool, canvas, pre-cut yarns. Any ideas? I know I can get all this stuff online, but since this is my first project I want to see and touch everything first.

Thanks!

Im itching to start a latch hooking project. I havent done it since I was little and want to start with a kit before I throw myself into a larger project. Has anyone tried a kit from madewithsweetlove.c om? Ive tried buying one off the website and contacting Whitney via email, but never received a response. Does anyone know if she is still in business?

Thanks, TreeCactus!

I love Jacobean crewel designs and have been looking for a manageable  pattern.

Ive wanted to experiment with different types of threads too. Ive tried some appleton and liked it. Ive also worked with thread that came with some old crewel kits that I bought off eBay, but have enjoyed appleton more. Most often, I just use embroidery floss though, because it is so cheap, colorful, and easy to find.

It never occurred to me to try working with silk thread, I guess because it sounds expensive.... is the stuff you use a blend? Where did you buy it?

Btw, wool and hoop just started selling crewel supplies, including linen fabric. I can't wait to blow too much money on that!
