Hey everyone! So last night, I got bit by the crafting bug, and I began working on a playing card clutch inspired by sweet fancy moses post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=153179.0. She included a little tutorial, but I ran into issues, and she's inactive, so I was hoping you all could help me.
This is what I have:
The pieces I started out with:
And the problem:
I have no idea how to fashion the side paneling out of cards, and I really struggled with it. Any tips/suggestions? Thanks!
Surprise, surprise! I'm in need of a gift. Nothing major, more like a compliment to for a gift (stationary set). My friend is moving to Texas and her going away party is tomorrow. Yes, a bit last minute, I know. And she has to be one of those people who has EVERYTHING. At least she's an interesting/fun character. Fun Facts to help you help me:
- moving to Austin - has cats and dogs - goes to summer camp: Camp Mystic - loves Gilmore Girls - loves comedies - has a Wii - more than a lil country - moving FROM FL - loves shopaholic books
Um, that's all that crosses my mind right now. Another problem, I don't have much available to me other than, well construction paper. I don't need a full-blown gift, just the stocking stuffer variety, and on the personal side. ANY HELP is greatly apperciated. Thanks!
I've been working on this scarf since April. The yarn is really soft and pretty but it was difficult to work with, so I had to start over twice in mid scarf (it's not like I'm that slow of a knitter) Anyways, it's finally ready in time for the chilly August days in South Florida! Actually, my school is freezing so I might wear it during class.

Thanks for looking! Comments are lovely/apperciated...
Hello all my fellow craftsters! Me and my best friend/fellow craftster LuNaGirl painted these black tee's in a Twentieth Century Fox theme. For those who don't know, it's an awesome song by the Doors, check it out!
Here are the pictures of mine:

And this is LuNaGirl's:

Thanks for looking and we apperciate all comments. Rock on, craftsters, rock on!
I've always done like "flat knitting" like scarves but I want to knit a hat now. The thing is I have two problems: I don't really understand knitting terms, and even though the thread here that defines terms, I'm more of a visual learner. Which leads to the second problem, where a tut or pattern with pics would probably be best. Thanks for your help!
Okay, I finished this bag way back in December but it came out slightly deformed. See, being a teenager, I didn't listen to my mom when she told me to stop knitting and it was perfect size. So at the end of my project I ended up with a bag that became all weighed down when there was stuff in it and the strap was too long and yeah. So it was shoved in my closet... until now. I found a great flower pin and I decided to use it. I simply used to pin some of the strap inside the bag. Plus it looks great... as in a bit better!
So those are my small, artsy pics. The bag is good for holding a few folders, my phone, etc. but not really any heavy duty stuff. I'm gonna use it for semester exams, when we're only allowed to carry a few things.
