1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: The Hipslinger (aka The Fanny Pack)**TUTORIAL added!!** on: August 31, 2006 09:50:37 AM
I made one of these last year for school, and after 2 classes, I had already been asked to make 20 of them for "friends" aka people who want me to make something for them...  ha ha.  Bringing back the pack is a great idea.  Viva la fanny-pack revolucion!
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Mature topic-ladies eco-flow busters*** MORE PICS ADDED!*** on: July 29, 2006 01:01:01 AM
That's a good idea, but I'd be afraid of toxic shock syndrome or stuff like that...
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: My pimp sewing machine :D on: July 29, 2006 12:52:26 AM
If I did that to my sewing machine, I would probably break it.  Did you do something to make sure that the paint didn't like...  leak into the machinery or anything?
4  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: After much pain and suffering comes light.... on: May 27, 2006 02:01:57 PM
So....  they're pumps?  Do they have heels?  Either way, they're really cute.  I like the ties.
5  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: College/Cheap but not horribly unhealthy ideas on: December 21, 2005 02:51:06 PM
ok...  this sounds really weird I guess but it's good, fast, and pretty cheap.
If you are indulging and want some other alternative, I have it in parentheses.

Bread Pizza
Ingredients:
white bread(or english muffins, if you're feeling extravagant)
catsup(spaghetti sauce.  but don't try this on white bread... It could get messy)
shredded mozzarella or 3-cheese(Buy a hunk of fresh mozzarella and slice it onto the "pizza")
Seasoning; oregano, basil, rosemary, pepper.  Use as needed.

How to make:
LIGHTLY toast bread, just until it's crunchy.  You can use a toaster or, if you can't have a toaster, apparently an iron.

Spread a little catsup/spaghetti sauce onto the bread.

Scatter/Slice cheese onto the pizza.

Season as needed.

Microwave until cheese is melted.

Another alternative:  If you want some meat, make it on a hot dog.

I actually prefer the cheapest alternative, but they are all pretty good.
6  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Anyone remember the movie "Steel Magnolias"? on: December 21, 2005 02:10:12 PM
lol.  I was in a production of steel magnolias two years ago.  I don't think we did anythiing with the cuppa cuppa cuppa, but for intermission we baked a bleedin' armadillo cake.  That was rather interesting...  I'm now addicted to red velvet cake...
7  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: First time eating tofu on: December 21, 2005 02:05:28 PM
I live in Arkansas where  the only real grocery store available is wal-mart, and...  they don't seem to sell any kind of tofu but silken...  does anyone have any ideas about how to find some extra-firm tofu?  Would they have it at the asian food market? (well, obviously, but...  would it be refrigerated or on a shelf?)
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / present for best guy friend?*strictly platonic* on: December 08, 2005 05:35:35 PM
Ok... So...  I have this guy friend, Luke.  I really want to make him a present, but I'm afraid that he'll read too much into it since he's asked me out 5 times.  Soooo yeah... I really need help making a present that he'll absolutely love, but also won't suggest that I "love" him.

Some stuff about him:
  • He's really into film-making...
  • I can't make him a mixtape, 'cuz I hate his music and he hates mine...
  • He has really long hair, so maybe like...  A ponytail holder or something?
  • He does tech stuff in our school plays and will soon be directing "the sunshine boys"
  • He loves practical jokes and stuff...
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: **TUTORIAL** slouchy hobo bag (the tinafish way) on: September 03, 2005 06:14:06 PM
I know this is kind of a stupid question, but  what length of zipper do you use to make this bag?
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: present for a 16-yr-old guy "just-because" on: June 28, 2005 01:21:33 PM
Thanks for all the great ideas...  LOL He loves to fish...  Maybe a delicious bass would be a good idea.  No...  LOL.
The cookies with the picks and the mixtape seem like really good ideas...  Now to find some songs....  LOL...  Not the theme from friends...  Though it is a catchy tune...
Thanks!
