21  Pride and Prejudice Hoop in Needlework: Completed Projects by StickerChic87 on: August 23, 2013 05:32:58 PM
I made this for my pal FeliciaSlayDCRG in the MAF Swap. I had to learn a bunch of new stitches and it took me forever to finish, but I think it was worth it. If anyone is interested in the pattern, you can find it here.

Thanks for looking! Smiley

I received a fantastic #2 package from my pal FeliciaSlayDCRG today!

First, the medium item, an upcycled denim organizer! I've really been wanting one of these for a long time. Grin I especially love the stars on the bottom, and how on the back she used the belt loops as the way to hang it.

(It's not crooked, my photo taking skills are just not the greatest Cheesy)

For the second part, she chose supplies. Fabric...I love batiks, the silky one will be a new experience, and the purple one is so soft (I think it might be destined for a pillow cover). A bag of buttons, a super cute tiny hoop, some embroidery floss, velcro, some elastic sewing thread that I cant wait to try out, a pattern for some Christmas goodies, and two patterns of the same skirt, just in both sets of sizes, which I really appreciate bc I'm kinda in between the two.

Extras! When she first posted this ballerina hoop a while back, I fell in love with it right away. And now it's mine, all mine. Cheesy

And a super cute dress! She only wore it once and decided to pass it along. It is definitely something I would pick out for myself! Smiley

I've already told her how much I love everything, but thanks again Nikki!!! Smiley

I received two houses today!! Smiley

First, from dfabbric, a Jane Austen period inspired house. It is complete with lace curtains, a tiny seed bead doorknob, and a little lady behind the front door. I love the little detail near the roof peak as well!

Next, from rackycoo, an inchie haunted house! There is a little star near the roof peak, some neat edging around the roof base, and a teensy owl and pumpkin hanging out around the back.

Thanks so much to you both! Smiley

Also, what are you all using to assemble your houses? I've been using adhesive mounting squares cut in half, but my houses keep popping back open. I might try some sort of glue next. Undecided

I received a great house yesterday from Ludi! I love it!

The little bee near the peak and the details on the roof are my favorite parts.

Thanks Ludi! It is already sitting on my tiny house shelf. Smiley

Loving the house from LimeRiot as well!

25  Chemistry Pouch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by StickerChic87 on: July 30, 2013 07:12:22 PM
I made this for my partner in the latest zipper pouch swap. She liked blues and greens, patchy, and chemistry. I was just going to do some sort of blue/green patchwork, but I was browsing around online and found these chemistry patterns...and I knew it had to be! I embroidered each piece and then did the "quilt as you go" method.

I really like how this side turned out:

This side is fun too, but I was trying to go for an off centered look...I think it would have been better centered like the other side:

I had lots of fun making this one! Thanks for looking! Smiley

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June Wordy
Team/Ninja: Team Dystopia
Project Geekdom: Tiny Houses (not sure if that counts, but I totally geek out over tiny houses Wink)
Bonus Points: Discovery (first shadowbox)
Project Name: "Our First Home" Shadowbox
Project Page Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=426034.0#axzz2aZuehlaf
Brief Description: Every time I read the description for this challenge, I kept thinking of "The Secret Garden," but wasnt sure what I could do with it. I thought of what intrigued me most about the book...her finding the key...the mysterious manor...the key...and then I remembered I had been saving this key to make this project for a while! Just the boost I needed to get it finished. Wink You can read more about it at the link.

28  "Our First Home" Shadowbox in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by StickerChic87 on: July 30, 2013 01:58:26 PM
I've been hoarding this key for this project for a year now, hoping not to lose it after we moved into our current apartment. It is the key from the first apartment my husband and I had together. I know, I know, I made a little house, but a scrappy apt building isnt as fun. Plus, anyone who knows me knows I love tiny houses. Anyways, finally got around to putting this thing together. I was happy that I used all scraps, although it didnt even scratch the stash. Wink This is my first time using a shadowbox, and I really like the look of this versus a regular frame.

29  Re: One Fab Zippered Pouch Swap - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by StickerChic87 on: July 25, 2013 02:44:25 PM
I received a fantastic pouch from loves2experiment today! She was very clever and incorporated (almost) every one of my themes into it... purple, tiny houses, scrappy/patchy, and hearts. The zipper pull is the perfect touch. I absolutely love it! Smiley

Surprise! The inside has my name embroidered. Great idea!

Thanks again l2e!

30  Beach Towel Roll Up in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by StickerChic87 on: July 17, 2013 04:53:40 PM
I saw a couple different versions of these floating around on Pinterest, so when my friend and I planned a beach trip, I knew I wanted to give it a shot. I ended up not following any tutorial, just because I didnt like the ones I found. The closures gave me the hardest time, I ended up using velcro. Also, the pillow is removable to make washing easier.

At the beach!
