1  Easter Bunnies (including link to free pattern) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Kitiza on: March 18, 2012 02:40:26 PM
It's not too early to think about Easter, is it?
I hope not, because I just felt like crocheting few Easter bunnies! These little fellows are only about 8 cm (3.1 in) tall and are made out of cotton yarn.

In case you would like to make your own Easter bunnies you can find the free pattern here from my blog. In case you have any trouble at all with the pattern don't hesitate to send me a message either here or on my blog.

Anyway, I hope you like them! ^___^

3  Wool caricatures in Felting: Completed Projects by Kitiza on: February 28, 2012 04:00:39 AM
Putous is a Finnish sketch comedy TV show that broadcasted first time on January 2010 and since then it has been a big hit here in Finland. The biggest part of the show is the character contest where the actors and actresses play a sketch character that they have created and people vote which of the characters is the funniest and most interesting.

Since I really enjoyed the show this year I wanted to make "wool caricatures" of the two finalists, Leena Hefner and Usko Luttinen. Here's what I made:

Here is the original Leena Hefner (actress Armi Toivanen), picture by MTV3:
http://img.mtv3.fi/mn_kuvat/mtv3/ohjelmat/putous/2012/1304242.jpg

Leena Hefner won the contest this year. Here is my version of the other finalist, pastor Usko Luttinen:

And here's the original Usko Luttinen (actor Aku Hirviniemi), picture by MTV3:

I sent these yesterday for the actors and I hope they will like the dolls as much as I enjoyed their show.

C&C are welcome, just be gentle - these are my first wool caricatures ever.  Smiley Before I have only made "dolls" if you know what I mean.

5  Needle felted Sarah in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Kitiza on: November 12, 2011 02:47:32 PM
Here's Sarah. She loves books and reading - she reads all day, all night. She is quite quiet but when you get to know you'll learn that she has the most charming personality.

Sarah is about 24 cm (9,4") tall and she is made to be in a seated position. She is the second needle felted doll that I have finished completely.
I hope you like her!  Grin

(Moderator: Again I had some trouble deciding if this post belongs here or to Fiber Arts because it's kind of both...  Embarrassed So if it's in the wrong place, please, move it to the correct one.)

Hi and welcome to Craftster!  Grin I'm sure you'll have good time here with us.
At first it can be a bit hard to navigate here (there's so much stuff to see!) but you'll get used to it soon, I promise.

About the pictures, I just checked and you have uploaded them into your picture hosting. Now that you have uploaded them it gives you code like this:

Code:
[img]http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/275547_28Oct11_On_the_other_side_felt_pears_and_pumpkins.jpg[/img]

When you copy and paste this code to your post it shows like this:

You can post the pictures of the bag for example here in the Purses, Bags, Wallets.
The bag looks great, by the way! Grin

7  Re: Random swap round 3 gallery in The Swap Gallery by Kitiza on: October 25, 2011 10:28:27 AM
I have received my package from Bunnie Boo, so prepare to be jealous! Grin

Here's everything after taking them out from the envelope. Pretty exciting, isn't it? I love it when I get to open many packages like this!

The first thing I noticed was the cute little monster that was looking a bit grumpy after it came out from the package. But you can't blame it, really, it has some pins on it's head! Slowly it got used to its new home, however, and is now feeling great.

I also got a pen with a cow on the top of it. So cute!

After that I checked the fabulous altered tin that had my name written on it. It's so pretty, I wonder what it holds inside?

From inside I found stickers, magnets, pandasaurus pin... And a small mystery package (you can see it inside the tin on the left, still unopened)!

I opened the small mystery package and there was the smallest cutest and strangest little bunny bee inside!

OK, let's move on. Jealous already? Wink Well, check these out! The next small package had the cutest earrings inside of it! I love these, hanging earrings are just my thing and these are so sweet.

I'm sure you'll all like this - I know I do! Look at this cute little Ninni keychain! It has a small heart on the other side but I forgot to take a picture of...

Bunnie Boo also sent me this amazing phoenix necklace. Loving this so much!

I also wanted something where to put ATCs so Bunnie Boo gave me this purple case that had these matching card sleeves inside of it. My ATCs fit perfectly inside of it.

And check out this adorable owl! I love the colours! And look at her eyes, she is beautiful! <3

Then I opened another package and I found this perfect applique parrotlet! I'm loving it sooooooo much, it's one of my favourites from all items! I will definitely sew it on my bag!

Then there was this this iPad case made of the cutest fabric with different kinds of whales!  Grin

And last but not least there was this absolutely amazing cross stitch kit featuring Sam from the game Sam & Max! This will definitely get me started on cross stitching, I love the game and the kit is perfect! I can't believe Bunnie Boo designed this herself! She also included instructions on how to make the stitches which is great because I have never done cross stitching before.

In addition I found some chocolate that was really tasty! They disappeared right away. Cheesy

Thank you so much, Bunnie Boo! It was a pleasure swapping with you again and I love all that you sent to me! <3

8  Needle felted Lil' Summer in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Kitiza on: October 19, 2011 10:36:24 AM
My grandma turned 85 years old today. That's a really respectful age, isn't? I was a bit sad that I was not able to visit her because I live quite far away from her. Sooooo I wanted to make her something special that she would (hopefully) really like.

I got in my mind that if I can't visit her I should send "someone" to congratulate her for me. I spent some evenings and many hours poking the wool with the felting needle. Slowly I could see some result and there was Lil' Summer!

Lil' Summer is about 30 cm (12 inches) tall and she is made completely out of wool by needle felting - except for the earrings and the hairbows. I used no wire armatures but the arms and the legs are completely bendable. She can almost stand on her own (if you position her well she can stand but she feels more comfortable taking support from something).

It took me really long time to get the details correct and even though she is not perfect I totally fell in love with her. Cheesy Even the teeth are made of wool.

And look at the tiny toes!

Grandma got the doll today (right on time) and she loved her! Grin I am so happy that I could brighten up her day even though I couldn't even visit her. And now I am glad that I can share these pictures with you!

Thanks for looking, I hope you like her! Smiley

I received this marvelous ATC from Robinpich for my Black and White theme:

It could be K as Katriina. Grin I'm loving it! The first moment I saw this I was thinking that I should collect my complete name in black and white! Maybe I will. Smiley

Thank you very much, Robinpich!
