1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Modified envelope book--image heavy! on: December 30, 2011 11:33:24 AM
Cheers lads (:

They're just air mail envelopes; I think I found them a while back at a pharmacy. I wish I'd taken a photo of the stitching.... For the notepaper, I did coptic stitching, but the envelopes were a bit different. Maybe I'll do it again sometime; an envelope book for me!

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Modified envelope book--image heavy! on: December 29, 2011 08:45:49 PM
I make a lot of my Christmas presents, and since Boyfriend's birthday is a week before Christmas, I often have to come up with a lot of ideas quickly. So where do you go? Craftster!

I saw this awesome envelope book by shanaelle (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=361417.0) and loved it.

So I made something similar:

shanaelle cleverly altered her cover to allow for expansion when things go into the envelopes, but I opted for a simpler ribbon to tie the book closed

envelopes in back!

In the first envelope, I put a letter, and then I put a coupon in each of the others. They're really simple, nothing fancy. [coupons are fun; you can do whatever you want! tame things like this one or some naughty ones... Wink]

Thanks for looking, C&C welcome and encouraged (:
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Melted Crayons! on: December 29, 2011 08:30:17 PM
Hi all!

I've been lurking here for ages and looking at all of your wonderful pieces, but this is my first craft post, so hopefully I'm in the right place...

I can't remember where I first saw these, but everyone and their left-handed sister seems to be doing them, so I thought I'd give it a try! Nothing fancy, just melted crayons, but it's mad easy (and fun) and turns out looking pretty cool

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Fleece hoodie for a larger dog on: December 22, 2011 05:17:32 PM
This is such a good idea!

As one of my jobs, I take a large boxer out on daily runs. I come pick her up at 7:30 in the morning though, and at this time of year, it's often freezing or below.  She isn't thrilled about this and usually refuses to go outside. Maybe if I make her a little hoodie like this ones she'll be more cooperative!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Fleece Puppy Bed with Tutorial on: December 22, 2011 05:14:56 PM
I've just made two of those fleece blankets for christmas presents, and then I saw this. Adorable!! And the bed is cute too (:

Might have to make one of these myself, soon, although it'll have to be a bit bigger. Big puppy!
