1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Paper Earrings on: August 06, 2010 07:57:36 AM

These were made from magazine pages cut into strips and then woven. A few of them were made from ribbon. The butterfly rings are just for fun. I'm going to add earring hooks to the little cubes. I think stud earrings would look better than dangle because of the shape, but I plan to make some of both kinds  Wink

4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Tropical Fruit Tart on: August 02, 2010 02:30:31 PM

this is some of the stuff i've been making c:
i've been really inspired by the creations on craftster!
here is a quick explanation, but i'm sure many of you already know how to make these

First, either color your clay or use your pre colored clay and roll it into a small ball. Preferably, this color would be light tan for your tart. Flatten the ball gently. Now, you can add texture to the side with the side of a knife or any similar tool. Then, mix liquid sculpey or your brand of liquid clay with white solid clay until it has a creamy but smooth texture. Apply this on top of your tart! If you have made fruit canes or purchased fruit canes made by other talented people, cut your slices and apply directly to the creamy top of your tart. Now bake at 275 degrees in your oven for  about 15 mins. Voila!
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Grapefruit Star Fruit Tart on: August 02, 2010 02:22:01 PM
This is a freshly baked tart topped with thick crême patissière and topped with various fruits.

I've always browsed through polymer clay miniatures and admired them for their tininess and detail, but I never thought I could make them myself! It's much easier than i thought...maybe because they're so addicting and fun to make c:
