1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Steampunk Inspired Dress on: January 25, 2011 06:20:27 AM
So cute!!! And how in the world did you get that color (teal? peacock blue?) in your hair??!?!!? I'm tired of red(vampire red by manic panic)

I wish I could come up with a dress and just do it and have it turn out that awesome!

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Quickie A-line Skirt on: January 01, 2011 09:36:19 PM
I whipped this up this evening being bored and wanting to sew. The skirt was originally going to be a dress, but I didn't bother cutting out the rest of the pattern. Ha! I had some black fabric so using the skirt, I cut out 3 panels and sewed them to the skirt and voila! A cute new skirt to wear tomorrow!!!

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: FML, I had to be cut out of my creation =_= on: December 30, 2010 08:46:59 AM
Awwww....dang.  Embarrassed That just sounds awful!!! My sewing machine likes to plot against me as well. It's a conspiracy. Just don't talk about it too loudly or they'll know we've caught on.

Take a breather and don't let the machine from Hades stop your creative flow!!!

((Hugs))

6  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Key Themed Swap (Send outs 12/6) on: December 11, 2010 08:53:46 AM
Everyone is great! We were without heat until Thurs. but they finally delivered the propane. I was at a Cub Scout meeting and DH was just about to leave to bring our son when he noticed the fire. Thankfully, he hadn't left yet, or it could have been really bad. Our house is almost 100 yrs old. The walls are tongue and groove with split pine logs in between. In other words, a tinder box. lol We would have come home to probably nothing if he hadn't been home. Hopefully we will finish the wall repair on Tues. DD has her bday party tomorrow and then his next day off is Tues. It's all good!!!

I like Castle, but don't shoot me here, I couldn't get into Firefly....I tried!!! I really really tried!!!! I'll have to try again.

I'm hoping my box gets to England. I mailed it from the local place and we were both puzzled by the customs form... Undecided

It should be arriving next week if it worked!!!

My bedroom is still in chaos (Alchamy knows about this) We had a small fire from the woodburning stove...Thank goodness DH is a fireman!!
New drywall is going up and there is still powder from the extinguisher all over everything. DH is only home every other day, so it's slow going.

I can't wait for my package!!!
(Neither can the postmaster, I think she's more excited than me about our po getting a box from a foreign country)

Done!!!!!!!!! Now to remember to mail it...

What's really sad is I live behind the post office. But when I asked how long it would take for a package to get to England, their eyes glazed over. So I'll be mailing it from the big town down the road. Hopefully tomorrow while the hoodlums are in school.

Yeah!!!

I'm still working on my first item!!!  Shocked Better get my butt in gear. I asked the postmaster here in my "village"(502 people do NOT make a town) how long it takes for a package to get to England and she looked stunned. Then she explained that she had never had anyone bring in a package for England...Maybe I should go to the post office in the city. Yes, that's what I'll do. Oh boy.
