2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Hello Kitty scarf and Bag on: May 17, 2006 11:28:52 PM
As a 21yr old obsessed with Hello Kitty, I would probably pee my pants a little bit if someone made that for me. Very awesome!

Hmm, I haven't been to Lambspun in a while, I usually go to Indigo Thread. It was in a super cute carriage house, but it's behind a bigger house and I passed it the first time I tried to find it  Tongue . Also there's an upstairs, which is good because when you first walk in there's a lot of pretty yarn, but it almost just looks like somebodies massive stash. Other than that, everyone I talked to was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back.

Are there still books available? I go to csu right now, but I'm home in the springs a lot and would be very interested.
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Let's Get Motivated to do crafts, craftalong? on: April 12, 2006 06:42:50 PM
Oh! Is it too late to join in? I have 3 small scale knitting projects that I just can't seem to find the motivation to finish, and I've put a hold on starting any new projects until I finish these.
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Resident Advisor (RA) Job on: April 12, 2006 06:26:32 PM
I'm not sure what you could do for a poster. My RA just blew up a map of campus and marked key locations with pushpins and yarn pointing to descriptions. Our door tags were really cute tho. For first semester she cut out puzzle pieces from cork board and used puffy paint to put on the names, and this semester she made mini chalk boards out of black construction paper. Something a different RA did that I thought was really cute was make little treasure maps for the doors.

I know a lot about the knitting scene in The Fort, but not a whole lot about the rest of the crafting world  Undecided . I have a friend who makes dolls though, so I'm going to ask her if she knows anymore about it.

Wow! That's great! I've been looking for something fun to knit that I can wear over the summer, and would love to know how you modded it.
