13  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Jamaican beach chime on: June 06, 2006 03:47:12 PM
So I was married in Jamaica, on 4-1-2006, and I collected some shells and such while I was there in a few different beaches, mainly ones with little holes so I could spruse up a little Jamaican hanging light thingy I got from some of the "crafters" on the beaches. I instantly thought it would look nice as a chime(its made out of a sea bean)for a crafty wedding something, I could make for myself, as a reminder of that time. Well, I finally made it and thought I would share it cause I luv it.

here it is with its friends on my porch

i completely love this piece! i'm like a racoon, attracted to sparkly things, and this is the epitome of fantastic.  did you cover the whole thing in glitter and then paint it for the texture?
Thank You so much.... I actually painted with glue and covered the glue in 12 different shades of glitter that matched my tattoo shown here...

If my eyes aren't wrong, you've got white in the tats right?
how is that holding? because I've had white done and it has turned a bit more yellowy than white Sad
even after being redone it still looks bad.. I'm going to have something put over it soon tho..
White has DONE ME RIGHT! I have it in all my tattoos  (nearly) and its held up remarkably.

and thanks you guys for all the sweetness

BambiKhantastic..yes I posted in the wedding thread, but thought what the heck, it needs to be where its supposed to go...HERE!

Here is a few I got a few months ago. The first one is my wedding themed tattoo...dia de los meurtos sugar skulls...bride and groom

whoa! where'd you get the bride and groom done? i swear i've seen that picture before...possible at the tattoo shop i go to?  Undecided anyways...they're both awesome!  Wink
I posted this pic a few months ago when I got it done, and NO its not some pic off a wall of some shop, its a custom tattoo drawing that my good friend did just for me for my wedding. All of my tattoos are custom. You may have seen it on myspace of my artist's (thats not my brother) profile, he has it posted on it HERE:

I burned my arm, right across my tattoo at work yesterday.  It wasn't a severe burn but enough of one to leave a bright red stripe and three small blisters. Has anyone had any experience with damaging their tattos in this way?  I've put aloe on the burn and am hoping for the best. Is the tattoo deep enough in the dermis that I should not lose any detail?

My brother was bitten by a brown recluse on one of his tattoos and it looked as though the whole tatoo would have been ruined after the bite because it was swollen up a lot, but ended up barely affecting the tattoo and healed with a very little missing dot of color. It was strange but I think its safe to say that there should be minimal damage to your tattoo.
