Girls, you got dirty minds! Not that this pun on 'Love Sucks' was ever intended! Grin
Thanks for all the kind remarks - I think I just have to get over it that hand stitched will never look as neat a machine stitch. But I'll keep trying. Smiley

@AirBorn04: It is an old pillowcase, the green embroidery was already on it.

(and my cat is a foundling, it's very likely that she lost her real mum too early - and as long as she doesn't drool on my embroidery, it okay...Smiley )

My cat is a little strange and always tries to suck on your finger, if you let her. She does that till she falls into some kind of trance or even asleep. I like to think that it is a sign of her  love for us (and not, that she is a little retarded)
Even though this can be very annoying, because you almost can't pet her without giving her the finger, it is also really cute. So I took a picture and decided to embroider her. It was my first try on embroidering a picture and using lettering in embroidery, not cross stitch the words.  I like how it turned out, but the lettering is a little crooked and not as even as I like it to be. I used satin and back stitch, maybe I should have used another technique? Does anyone know a good tutorial on how to embroider lettering?
The fabric was a pillow case I inherited by my grandmother. I was quite sad when it tore up - is was really worn out of all the years in use. But now I found a way to re-use the fabric and not just throw it away. I guess, my granny would have liked that, because she was alway very thrifty. Smiley

I'm amazed at the delicate stitching! And it looks so cool. Great job!
I was thinking about stitiching a floor plan of our dream appartment for my boyfriend, but didn't know if it will look good.
Since it is also a technical drawing, I think it will have similar look and I think I'll give it a try now. But first I have to practise stitching straight lines on none countabel fabric. Smiley

It is so lovely! How did you apply the organza circels?

That is amazing! The painting itself is really cool, but the cross stitch makes it even more special. And, wait, it took you only 2 weeks?! For me it would have taken months!

Officially none of it should be a problem, have a look here:

But I guess, it sometimes depends on the mood of the security staff. I already heard of confiscated knitting needles... Smiley
