501  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Heart Clutch and Blue Tote on: February 12, 2005 09:19:48 PM
I think the yarn from the 2nd one is great, but I like the first one better.  Do you have a pattern?  I'd love to try it!
502  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: what do you get if you cross the army with the nutcracker? (with added tutorial) on: February 12, 2005 08:35:14 AM
I think the answer to the question is a nutarmy.  Or an armcracker.  Or an armnut...

Anyway, I love the skirt!
503  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: i want to make a shrug just like this! on: February 11, 2005 05:44:29 AM
Try yesterknits.com or whiteliesdesigns.co m.  I think I saw a shrug like that on one of those 2 sites.
504  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Thoughts on Denise Interchangables? on: February 10, 2005 05:17:10 PM
I'm an Addi Turbo addict myself, but I bought a set of Denise Interchangables recently and I've talked some of my friends into them too because I like them so much.  Now I just wish they'd make smaller sizes, so I could do socks on them, or add some dps to the kit......

506  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Vagina Swap on: February 10, 2005 05:00:06 PM
I was going to sew my bra cups together and decorate them and call them "boobie-bags", or in my case "big boobie bags".  Does that count?

There's a company out there that does said idea with small bras and calls them teeny tiny tittie totes....
507  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knitting purses on: February 10, 2005 08:03:25 AM
I actually bought the Jordana Paige knitting purse, and I love it, but I do think it is a bit expensive.  I actually knit myself a knitting bag!  I made a bigger version of the Fulled Lopi Tote from Hello Yarn http://www.helloyarn.com/lopitote.htm and I put a pocket inside.  Its an easy pattern and all I really did to make it bigger was use a bulkier weight yarn and knit 2 strands of it at the same time.  I'm using it to carry around a baby blanked that I'm working on right now.
508  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Questions / purse pattern for bamboo rod purse handles on: February 10, 2005 07:55:49 AM
I also  posted this in the purse crafting area...but no one has responded.  I'm  hoping some fellow knitters/crocheters will have some answers.

I just bought some bamboo purse handles.  They are "rod" style, just 2 straight pieces of bamboo.  I'd like to knit or crochet a purse and use them as handles, but I don't have any patterns.  Does anyone out there know where I can find some?
