Upcycling old umbrellas. Pay attention to the tension when You put the crochet on the base! It could be dangerous!  Wink

ive never sewed anything before, apart from cross stitch. ive been nuts obsessed with zombies at the minute, and wanted to do something to express this. i was in my local craft shop looking for beads, when i saw the PERFECT green felt for a zombie. came home, and after a bit of googling decided i wanted to make a teddy, and i found this:      http://practicalenrichment.files.wordpress.com/2010/09/free_teddy_bear_pattern_by_sengster.jpg
it has absolutely no direction at all, but i love a challenge!!!

here he is:

He's eating intestines, still with the stomach attached!!!
you cant see in that picture, but theyre crocheted in embroidery thread

you can kinda see in this one:

please give me some feedback! ive never made anything like this before.
thankyou!

thanks guys! means a lot to have someone other than my mum tell me its nice hahaha
to jennythor, im not entirely sure, but what i do know is its quite a thick, hard sterling silver jewelry wire.
i bet that didnt help at all =)
to craftydebs: if you do, i'd love to see it! i know for a fact it could be done a lot better, and it would be great to see someone else do it =)

so, ive been playing around with beads and what-have-you. ive gotten a lot more serious about jewellery making since my last post.
heres a few things that ive made recently. (sorry about naff pics)

A Deftones necklace and an Anchor necklace, i think they make a cute couple =)
Deftones are my favourite band, and i thought the album art from "B-sides and Rarities" would look great in shrinky-dink form. then I decided it would look even cooler in black and red
Pattern for the anchor can be found at: www.mydailybead.blogspot.com

Penguins, Rainbows, who needs more?
Pattern from mydailybead again

and a close-up

CUTE!!

Heartbeat pendant. i got the idea from something called a soundwave bracelet. that one was made from paper and glue, mines made from METAL! bwahaha.

(sorry if my uber-rubbish picture hurt your eyes =(  )

i dont know what to caption this one....
i love lamp <3

hope you like them =)

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: What would be good for this 3D beaded project? (more info below) on: March 12, 2011 09:09:08 AM
i actually made that the other day, i used something similar to fishing line that they sell at my local craft store. its only a little thicker than nymo, it still threads through a beading needle. i cant remember what its called though, and im kicking myself because i have a hatred of labels, i always peel them off and then regret it!
i didnt really have any problems with threading the back, but i didnt use seed beads, i used 3mm plastic bicone beads.
if you did want to use wire, and are worried about it showing through, you could always use a little creative licence and use opaque beads instead of clear ones.
