Thanks so much for your help!  You really went above and beyond!  Cheesy

Now I just need to get a few supplies and make it!  I should be able to figure this out thanks to you!

Why, bunnies and squirrels of course! Smiley  I like old illustrations of cute little creatures, which I'm sure you could easily look up.  Good luck getting inspiration Smiley

Oh thanks so much for your generous help!  It's really appreciated.

I was wondering about how you said to stitch the ears on after I stuff it.... What is the way to do this so my knots don't show up on the outside?

I think I'll try using whip stitch for some and blanket stitch for other parts.  Do I use any particular stitch to attach the ears or do I just "freestyle" it? Haha.

Thanks again, you have helped me be a bit less scared of starting!

Well I was wanting to make a cute pin cushion and I found this one:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=261262.0

I want to use the pattern linked on that page, but it has painfully vague instructions for someone who knows nothing about this kind of thing (this is my first time at this type of thing).  I want to make the cute variation that the poster made, with the two colours of felt on the hedgehog's back.

I looked up some needlework tutorials.  I suppose I use these stitches? (Blanket stitch and whip stitch)

I don't really know what order to put stuff on, or which stitches to use where.  I feel I know nothing  Tongue

ANY advice whatsoever would be much appreciated.  Am I trying to do something too hard?

Hmm, I was interested in joining to see people's stuff and get some help (super beginner here).  Probably the odds of finding a NZ website that works is slim so I might have to try this one after all....

I found someone mentioning craftfetish.co.nz as a place with a forum but I checked it out and it seems pretty dead.  Anyone interested in trying to liven the place up with me?

I want to get involved in a community, but craftster seems so huge!  Plus I'd like to be able to have the opportunity to meet people if I wanted.  So does anyone know of any good sites?  Thanks a bunch in advance! Smiley
