Thanks guys! Yeah, a little bomb flower would be a perfect accessory for this guy Smiley
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Goron from Legend of Zelda on: March 03, 2014 02:41:05 PM

This guy took me ages to design! There is more on him and more pics on my blog (cos I'm lazy and linking is easier!) Smiley

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Jake the Dog and Finn the Human--Adventure Time felt applique on: October 15, 2013 10:00:15 PM
Really nice! Is the black outline another layer of felt underneath, or stitching? This is really effective Smiley
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: We all make mistakes... on: October 15, 2013 09:52:38 PM
Thanks so much! I'm touched by your comments! bethntim, that's a great idea to add a ribbon to the top! I definitely have to do that, and I think I'll leave it plain in the hoop- thanks everyone for your feedback! Smiley
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / We all make mistakes... on: October 15, 2013 02:58:49 AM
I made this to remind myself while sewing/doing crafty stuff, that you can't be perfect all the time so don't worry about it!
Blog post on it is here: http://makingitwell.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/we-all-make-mistakes.html
I'm a newbie to embroidery so it's pretty basic. Heh.

Any thoughts on cool stuff to do to the hoop/presentation before hanging? I'm thinking of leaving it plain.

6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Cupcake Amigurumi Ornament on: July 04, 2013 02:35:19 PM
I made it partly from this pattern :http://www.etsy.com/listing/153157754/cupcake-amigurumi-pattern-pdf-crochet?ref=shop_home_active

and partly made it up myself.  My blog post on it is here: http://makingitwell.blogspot.co.nz/2013/07/merry-christmas.html

Thanks for looking!  Cheesy
7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / I made tonnes of amigurumi lol. Loads of pics! on: October 24, 2012 01:45:08 PM
After learning amigurumi, I had to have a go at designing some of my own so I made a series of bunnies.  3 of these pics are not my design (the bears and flower).  More info on the ol' blog here:

this one, I brushed up its fur for fuzziness, using a pet slicker brush (the one with short wires)

I think my fav is the grey bunny- that was the hardest to design too since the body has a more complicated shape.
Although figuring out the colour changes for the spotted bunny took me a long time too!

And this is the box they were photographed in.  If you're interested, more info in the blog post Smiley

The good thing about yoshis is they come in every colour of the rainbow!  This is so cute Smiley

10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Chu Chu from Legend of Zelda! UPDATE: Now with pattern link! :) on: August 10, 2012 04:28:26 PM
Hi everyone!
I made an amigurumi chu chu!

You Zelda afficionados will know who this goopy little guy is Smiley
Here a pic of original chu chu (usually they are much smaller)

I made him for my husband as we are both Zelda fans!

I worked quite hard to make it just right, and I even wrote out the pattern if anyone is interested.
There is a Chu Chu pattern at Nerdigurumi that I'm sure some of you have seen, but mine is actually very different.  It's about half the size, and has different eyes and shaping, especially the feet.  The feet are crocheted as part of the body instead of being crocheted separately and sewn on.  Smiley

Next up I am planning on an amigurumi Goron Smiley

P.S Hey, I have uploaded the pattern for anyone who wants it:
You'll find it at the bottom of the page here. Smiley
