ok, maybe that's a slight exaggeration...can laundry ever really be fun? Here's a clothespin bag I pieced together out of scraps from the ladybug quilt

I don't know this is the right board, but I did quilt it.

I know they are not all that special to all you experienced quilters out there, but I was so excited about how these turned out I just had to share.

My first attempt at the log cabin Pattern. These are deceptively simple and highly addictive.

I plan on adding red borders and piecing it together for a baby quilt for some friends that are due in October. Thanks for looking.

for my dd"s 5th b-day she wanted a "fancy lady tea party"

I made the invites and purses for all the girls (which of course I forgot to photograph) I also made picture frames that doubled as placecards and cloth napkins. We had finger sandwiches that I cut into butterfly and flower shapes with cookie cutters, fruit salad, tea. lemonade in fancy glasses with heart shaped, strawberry flavored ice cubes, and a variety of tea cookies. My sister made a cake in the shape of a teapot. A good time was had by all. Anyhoo, on to the pics

This is my first quilt (other than a doll size quilt)
I don't really like to measure so this didn't turn out at all like I had originally planned. I kind of made it up as I went along to make it work around my mistakes. Anyhoo, on to the pics. Please excuse my crappy photography skills, they really don't do the quilt justice.

the back is some flannel I thrifted, super soft and turned out to be the perfect size for the finished quilt top. It was fated to be part of this quilt.


Overall,I am pleased with it. I might even have to learn to quilt the "right" way.  I hope you enjoy. Now if I have the patience to save it for her birthday as originally planned....

A friend of my husbands has a little girl who is turning one next week and we are invited to her party. My DH asked me to make something and this is what I came up with.

  sewed felt leaves to it and left all my ends hanging out so it looked more nest-like
and to give you an idea of the size of the bird

I was excited about how they turned out but when I showed my sister she didn't seem very impressed. What are your thoughts? Any Ideas to make them better? I thought maybe I could sew little eggs to put the baby birds inside so they could hatch. I also thought about making little worms, but I'm concerned they would pose a choking hazard. Comments, criticisms?

but as usual I did'nt bother to follow the measurements and ended up with straps way too long, ....except I think i might like them that way,but I still love the original as well. So craftsters... opinions please......

the bottom is not hemmed yet, but I think I migh leave it that way since I don't think it will fray.

So I made this bag using stargirl's awesome tut http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49706.0 and  decided I needed a planner to match 
  If I had to do it again I would reinforce the handles with cardboard or something as they are a little too floppy for my liking. Also I would be more careful about the measurement as the lining ended up a tad smaller than the shell so it was a b*tch to sew in. Overall though I am quite pleased with it. What do you think?

So I finished this purse ages ago but just got around to putting some handles on it. I am really not all that happy with it and have no idea what to do with it cuz I doubt I will use it , but I thought I would share anyway.


It seems lately none of my projects are turning out like I envision them and I am ending up with lots of stuff I will never use, but can't seem to stop making. I think I may need to seek help............... .
