11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Paper Art Dolls Swap? on: May 18, 2012 03:32:44 PM
I would be interested.  I used to love making paper dolls. I never played with them, I just liked to make and color the clothes.

I too love experimenting with clothing and designing the dolls!

oh, And I am in the middle of my very first swap so I would not be able to participate until June.

It will probably take some time to get supporters (along with preparations), so that will give you plenty of time to finish your swap. Smiley
12  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Paper Art Dolls Swap? on: May 18, 2012 06:42:09 AM
If this has already been done, please let me know. Smiley

A while ago, I stumbled upon this website: http://www.theenchantedgallery.com/paperdolls.html along with random other places that makes paper dolls into an art form. After playing around with it, I really enjoyed making templates, then decorating them!

This seems like a great idea for a swap. Not only could we begin collecting them like ATCs, but they can fit inside a regular envelope.

Would anyone be interested in this? I have never organized before, but with help I would love to. Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks so much everyone! I have slowly been developing my crocheting skills (it is very addicting), and in the near future I hope to start making a pattern! Hope to have some people test it out. ^^

Hope other craftsters find this topic helpful. Smiley

19  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Am I the only one that can't draw men?!?! on: March 13, 2012 09:38:57 PM
As I look through my artwork, I notice I can only draw women, animals, and some children. I want to have a wide variety in my artwork, and because I love drawing portraits, that leaves only women for me to draw because I cannot draw the opposite gender! When I do try to draw guys, it looks stupid and I give up.

Does anyone else have this issue? How can I get past it? Maybe you can't draw women, but you can draw men; if so, why is that?

Thanks for reading!
