1  (FIRST EVER CROCHET PROJECT!) Spunky Lil' Ballerina in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by simplyshereena on: November 11, 2012 03:38:56 AM
Hello everyone!

So this is my first ever (finished) crochet project, done over the course of a few days. I used Wayuki's
Linguine dollydolls pattern
, with some customization of my own. Cheesy

She turned out a lot bigger than I thought she would be!

Her hair is supposed to be a mohawk, although it curls slightly and is lopsided (it gives her character lol).

Details of face!

Thanks so much for looking, I am currently crocheting something else! Let me know what you think. Smiley

Hi everyone! I have been super busy with work, so I haven't really had the time to be on Craftster. Sad I've mostly been trading on other websites, and my ATC addiction has grown out of control!!

Let's take a look at some of my favorite ATCs I have done recently. I will spare you from seeing every single one! XD

"Mod Geisha"

"Horn Girl" (Gee wiz am I the one with amazing titles or what?!)

"Falling Angel"

"Odd One"

"Creepy"

"Pretty Far Gone"

"Damp"

And finally, my most favorite...

"Pinky"

Thanks for looking! I hope you enjoyed my art. <3 IF you want to see any more of my art, feel free to check out my website!

3  Paper Art Doll in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by simplyshereena on: May 21, 2012 02:12:16 PM
I have recently been into paper dolls. Smiley

Here's one I made today!

I used this template to make her, and added some details. She's about 12 in. tall, and inspired by my original character, Crimson. Smiley

I didn't have any other way to "joint" her limbs together, so I just used thread. I'm hoping to buy some in the near future, I think they are called "brads" or something?

I hope everyone likes her! In the future, I am hoping to start up a paper doll swap. Let me know what you think. Cheesy

4  Two New Works in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by simplyshereena on: March 06, 2012 01:37:52 PM
I am partaking in an art demonstration on the 25th, and it was requested that I draw two pictures for a showcase. ^^

Here's what I came up with. I don't use references, so my pictures are never "realistic". Just feelings on my mind.

"Issues"
8x11 in.

Done in Pen and Ink, with a metallic marker.

"Die Hard Habits"
8x 11 in.

Done in watercolor, with a little bit of tempera.

I will be making more pictures for my display table, so stay tuned for those as well! Thanks for looking, everybody. Smiley

5  Re: Ongoing ATC Swap - January 2012 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by simplyshereena on: March 02, 2012 07:54:48 AM
I have been so busy lately, sorry for posting a little late! I couldn't do February's ATC swap, but I have still been making ATCs to trade, along with lurking at all of the beautiful cards. ^^

First we have two cards from Mountains and Clouds. When I opened the letter, I seen this beautiful lil' fool for my tarot theme!

Then I was surprised to see another!

As I read the letter, she told me she re-did it because her husband said "she was grabbing her crotch"! xD Men and their minds...I honestly seen nothing but beautiful artwork! Cheesy Either way, both are amazing and I am so grateful to have them.

Next we have a precious owl from grapeicepop!

I LOVE the adorable expression he is giving, and the swirls in the background complete it. <3 Thank you so much, grapeicepop! Also, may I add that you have beautiful handwriting. ^^

I also had a personal swap with gala_apples I would like to share!

I love this one, it has a wonderful texture, along with a lovely design.

Next, a lovely potion to mask foul tastes! I wish this was real, so many times I could use this. xD

This one is probably my favorite; I love how it is translucent against the background!

My potion theme is growing, and I have one more potion I would like to share- my fiance made it for me some time ago.

So many great ATCs last month, this month, and surely the months after! I read through every post, looking at replies, pictures, and the like. You all are so fantastic. <3

6  Re: Embroidery Hoopla Round 7 Gallery (Send Out Feb 27) in The Swap Gallery by simplyshereena on: February 25, 2012 03:40:30 PM
Here's another amazing addition to the gallery!

My favorite, Shy Guys!! I love the negative space, and the colors pop out so well! It is my very first hoop, and will remain in the center forever. <3

I also particular LOVE the little yellow one, aww, it looks like he fell!

Thank you so much Sandroo, it is beautiful. Smiley

I received from jennden recently, and now I get to show you what an awesome card she made for my Macabre theme!!

I LOVE IT! It feels like she is going to pop right out of the card, and those stitches are amazing. Thank you so much, I am honored to say that this is the very first card for that theme! <33

8  Woman's Silhouette Embroidery in Needlework: Completed Projects by simplyshereena on: January 17, 2012 10:44:17 AM
Hello everyone, I am new to this part of town. Smiley

I have been marveling at some of the amazing embroidery everyone does on here, so I thought I needed to take a shot at it. Though it may not be good, I learned so much from this piece! My Satin stitches look bad, I know. ^^; Here is the reference picture I used for it: http://t2.ftcdn.net/jpg/00/27/81/99/400_F_27819981_YIZE4cDUj5n8dspnUUnrUA8sUBgVGBhe.jpg

I am going to sew it into a pillow for my mom, she loves me no matter how bad my crafting can be. xD

Here's some of the details!

Thanks for looking- comments and criticism welcome!

10  My December 2011 ATCs in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by simplyshereena on: January 04, 2012 04:54:17 PM
After a long and stressful month, I am ready to begin the new year! Here's hoping I draw more than ever. ^^

These are some of the ATCs I have drawn last month and recently.

This one I drew in the December ATC swap. First time ever joining in a swap, and I can't wait to do it again! It was done in markers, colored pencil, and I carefully cut out a border to go along with it.

I drew this one night when I wasn't feeling well. xD It looks scary, but believe me I felt loads better after finishing it.

I painted this the other night, and hated it. Then I worked on it some more, and I love how it turned out!

Finally, my most recent work. I finished this today while procrastinating on some schoolwork ( I got it ALL done!). It's for an alphabet theme I am working on, and hopefully I will get more letters finished in the future. I wrote out the list, now I just need to muster up the motivation to work on it...

Also, I am planning on trading prints of my pictures! They will be on canvas style paper, and any metallic/shiny parts will be colored in by hand. Just let me know if you ever want any of my previous work- I save all of my pictures. ^^

Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my work! <3
