1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Post Secret swap gallery on: August 15, 2005 01:12:57 PM
ARG!  FINALLY!
Sorry I disappeared for so long guys.  there was something wrong with my account where I couldn't log on on any computer, even ones without cookie records of the old site, and stuff.  Hopefully it won't happen any more but if i disappear for a long time again, that's what went on.

Ok.

So here are the two post cards i received for July:
1.

It reads "I hate her hair, I still hack into her email account, she is a fake liar, and i hope she doesn't come back to school" in a cross shape on a white card.

2.

It reads "You'll always be the BIG one, Are you peckish?, It's never been my body size, my dad's the only reason I feel fat, Still Hungry!, Stop scoffing or you'll get fat." over a collage of celebrities flipping the bird (one caption reads "Ledger salute" over a pic of Heath Ledger, funny) and words I can't quite make out (one may be underdressed?  one, myself?)

This is the card I received for August:

It is a beautiful water color painting of a sofa with the words "Sometimes I don't know if I continue sharing an apartment iwth my boyfriend because I love him or because I'm too lazy to move." written in black ink.

Thanks so much to everyone who sent to me, and I am TERRIBLY sorry it took this long for your card to be posted.  I will try my best to see that it doesn't happen again.
Can't wait for next month!

I got two cards this month!
....But I've been moving, so my computer will not have internet access until (hopefully) tomorrow.  (At school right now).  I'll try to get pics up asap.

And I think the card I sent either got lost in the mail or went to the wrong house, cause I realized I accidentally wrote an almalgam of different addresses on it (I had surgery, I was all drugged up, waddaya expect?), so I'll make another one and send that tomorrow.

Keep up the good work everyone, this swap is great!

Oh, and a big "me too" to the geek thing for me!...... only I don't keep it a secret very well.......

Oh my goodness!  You've got a house full of sticky animals!  Those are hilarious stories though.  Hope everyone is okay (hahah, poor little toes), but god that must have been almost worth the trauma just for the stories.

This is the post card I received for June:
(My boyfriend scanned it, so I'm sorry if it's too big a picture or blurry or anything.)

I don't know that I can react to that.  I could try to be encouraging, but I'm sure this person has hear all the "you can do it" they can bear.  All I can say is that I hope they find their happiness in some way, and I hope they do it through will since that will make them a stronger person for the rest of their life.

EmilyFlew, that is a great idea about writing "do not post in gallery" if the secret is really sensitive info.

Looking forward to the gallery with much baited breath!

This may sound weird, but did your dad's company have a softball team?  Cause a couple of years ago I bought a 70's softball shirt in Toronto that says GreenTree on it as the team name.....

Probably just a coincidence, but thought I'd ask.

Great hoody by the way!   Grin

well the only people that would know whose it was would be the sender and jas.ns if she wanted to figure it out.

But if we had it at the end of the swap then only the sender would know which was theirs, so i dont think that the person would be revealed, just everyone would know alot of secrets.

if that makes sense

Pink Hula: Haha, I didn't mean revealing in that sense.  I forgot there were two meanings for that word!  I mean revealing of the human condition and all that philosophical crap.  Wink  But you bring up a good point; if we did it at the end, just lumped everything together, no one would know whose was whose.  (except the sender of course).  I think it'd be pretty safe.

I was just wondering...
are we going to do a swap gallery for this swap?  I would love to see what people send out, and I think the post secret blog site is just so insightful and revealing, it would be great to share something else like that here on craftster.

Any thoughts?

On my way to the post office.   Grin
This is going to be six months of intense self-analysis, I think.........and I can't wait for more.
10  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Old Printer. on: May 31, 2005 08:39:55 PM
Yeah, I love that boombox thing.

That's a good idea about making it into storage since the way it opens up is pretty novel.  And I need storage.  Great thinking!  Thanks for the idea.
