Love those beach chairs!

I got another set of pieces from CDEeeek that are awesome!

I see while I was able to get a picture of the glazed piece without reflection, it just darkened the whole picture.  They are really bright in person.
For my rainbow theme she did an artists palette.  One of my favorite things, so that was really cute.  And for the yellow she added assorted dimensional elements.  Love the little button in the corner.  And the background papers are perfect.  Thank you, Cynthia! 
   Towards the end I will post an in progress pic.  I still have pieces left over (that I wanted to do myself) but I took them out of the puzzle in strips.  When I have all my pieces sent back, I will have 4 parts that fit together, even if I don't have all my leftover pieces altered yet.

I did a personal swap with yoopidou for inchies.  She chose my 'closeups of masterpieces' theme, which no one has ever done yet.  So these were really exciting to get. 


Most of the edges are gold, which added the the priceless antique look to them.  Not one of them isn't beautiful, but I do like the Cassat, Degas and Dali.  For anyone who may be unfamiliar with any of them, the card was a 'cheat sheet' she printed out to compare.  Almost like a little game.

I was really excited to get these...  Thanks so much yoopidou, they are awesome, and I love that you chose my these that may seem somewhat intimidating.

I love the buttons she used, co cute....  My theme was rainbows, and nearly everyone I sent to had a rainbow piece and a single color to do.  She ended up with orange and I love the little orange car.  I'm already excited about putting my puzzle together!

I am making Kris's today, I am sooo glad our law enforcement ideas didn't cross over. I would have felt silly!

I am working on hers too.  Actually, one of the pieces I am making is similar, but very different in style.  I stuck to the 'law enforcement' end of those themes, because everything I was imagining that had to do with drugs/ law enforcement was ugly.  General police things seemed much more workable.  And pleasing to the eye, I guess.  Nonetheless, I've been anxious to see all the law enforcement pieces since I read that theme...

I have 2 other partners packed and ready to go.  I've had luvebuggy's done since last weekend, yet I haven't made it to the post office.  I think 'sending round 1' will be by the end of this week.     

I have all pieces sorted and envelopes addressed.  My pieces will be out in the mail tomorrow!

I think I'm going to go for the 48 piece one.  Today, most likely.

Now, I've seen lots of 'lenticular' puzzles.  The ones that I saw that were 48 pieces were lenticular.  I think that means after you put it together you can tilt it and it shows a different image?  In that case, it has that plastic coating....  Is this something I should avoid, since they will be altered anyway?  I don't think it would matter, but I might as well throw the question out there since I barely have any idea of what I'm doing.

Loving the themes I've seen from my partners.  I've been doing constant brainstorming. 

Thanks for the tip Smmarrt!  I've got a bin all set out patiently waiting for theme-like inspiration and future arriving puzzle pieces.

and ... yikes. I don't even have a puzzle yet.  I saw a few last night, but I'm not sure which I should get.  Too bad most of the puzzles don't have a sample piece shown on the box.  I'd like to get a 48 piece, but I'm concerned the pieces will be too small for anyone to go too crazy altering.

And if anyone has any tips, I say throw 'em up here.  I'm not the only first timer, I'm sure there's a few more.  And I like hearing about someone else's method of doing things.

Is there a certain time you are accepting signups?  Trying to fill out a questionnaire, but don't think I will finish til later. 

If I get to join, this will be my first time doing an altered puzzle.  Looks like fun!
